Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block IX, Waoku Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 59 and 60, Block IX, Waoku Survey District; towards the east by Section No. 8 of the said Block IX; towards the south by a public road along the right bank of the Waimamaku River; and towards the west by Section No. 6 of Block IX aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55414/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a scenic reserve.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six.

PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 14, Block XII, Mawhera-iti Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at a point (the said point being distant 43094·9 links north and 90164·2 links east of Initial Trig. Station, situated at the south-west corner of Mawhera-iti Survey District), and proceeding in a north-westerly direction, bearing N. 26° 57′ 30″ W., a distance of 916·1 links; thence along a line in a north-easterly direction, bearing N. 70° 24′ E., a distance of 795·8 links to the Blackwater Road; thence south-easterly along the southern side of the said road, a distance of 813·3 links, to a point bearing N. 61° 01′ E. from the commencing-point; and thence by a right line for a distance of 1027·3 links to the point of commencement: exclusive of Blackwater Creek, which intersects the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55376/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a recreation reserve.

Rural Land in Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-six of “The Land Act, 1892,” and section two of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and provide as follows, that is to say:—

The rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for disposal by way of sale or selection on and after the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six, at the respective prices specified in the said Schedule.

The said land may be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on lease in perpetuity: provided that in the case of land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, it shall be selected on lease in perpetuity only and shall not be purchased for cash.

For the purposes of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” the land enumerated in the said Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be “light-bush land.”

No general rate shall be levied or collected by any local authority from the said land for a period of three years from the date from which such land is disposed of, and no local authority shall have power to levy or collect any such rate from such land during such period.

After the first half-year’s rent has been paid by the selector the further instalments of rent payable by him for a period of three years shall not be demanded: provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount of rent previously conceded to the selector, as the Board shall think fit.

Weighted with £403—valuation for 170 acres in grass, £340; 60 chains fencing, £48; orchard, £10; and tracks, £5.
Situate on the Kohua Road. Access from Te Kuiti, twenty-three miles distant—sixteen miles by a well-formed and partly metalled road, and the remainder by a bridle track. Hilly and undulating land, with flat along streams; covered with light forest of tawa, rimu, and rata, with a thick undergrowth of scrub. The soil is of fair quality, resting upon a papa-and-sandstone formation; well watered. Elevation, 430 ft. to 950 ft. above sea-level.
