Revoking Appointment of Horowhenua County Council as Trustees of the Levin Public Cemetery.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “ The Cemeteries Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, appointing the Horowhenua County Council Trustees of the Levin Public Cemetery, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

LEVIO PUBLIC CEMETERY.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Rural Section No. 29, Block I, Waiopohu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 28; towards the south-east by Section No. 10 (suburban), Township of Levin; towards the south-west by Makomako Road; and towards the north-west by Tirotiro Road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 18161, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six.

the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint

THE WAITARA BOROUGH COUNCIL

to be the Waitara Domain Board, having control of the domain described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Waitara, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

WAITARA DOMAIN.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, being Block No. 115, Town of Waitara. Bounded towards the north-west by Cameron Street, towards the north-east by Browne Street, towards the south-east by Whitaker Street, and towards the south-west by Cracroft Street; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55369, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment of Chairman of the Conciliation Board, Nelson Industrial District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the Registrar is satisfied that the persons elected to be the members of the Board of Conciliation for the Nelson Industrial District (being the electing authorities) have failed to elect a Chairman of the Board:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “ The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Commercial Traveller, of Nelson, to be Chairman of the said Board.

Revoking Appointment of Coromandel County Council as Trustees of the Cabbage Bay Public Cemetery.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “ The Cemeteries Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred, appointing the Coromandel County Council Trustees of the Buffalo and Cabbage Bay Public Cemeteries, in so far as it relates to the Cabbage Bay Public Cemetery, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CABBAGE BAY PUBLIC CEMETERY.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 15, Block V, Harataunga Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a line, 919 links; towards the east by the Moehau No. 383 Block, 682 links; towards the south by a road, 14, 403, 250, 180, 297, and 80 links; and towards the west by a line, 1110 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22556, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six.

General Regulations of the Defence Force of New Zealand amended.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “ The Defence Act, 1886,” and “ The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto such of the General Regulations of the Defence Force of New Zealand, made on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, as are set forth in the said Schedule. And I do hereby declare that such amended regulations shall come into force on the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six.

SCHEDULE.

AFTER Regulation 43 add regulation as under:-

“ Warrant Officers of the Permanent Staff and Permanent Force.

“ 43A. The Minister may, on the recommendation of the Commandant, appoint any N.C.Os. of the Permanent Staff or Permanent Force to be Warrant Officers: Provided that no N.C.O. shall be so recommended who does not possess the qualifications required by ‘King’s Regulations’ for like appointments in the Regular Forces.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “ The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the
