A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and of the Rangitikei County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Wangaehu Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the First Schedule hereto to be a borough under the said Act, on and from the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six; that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of Mount Eden; that the said borough shall be a divided borough; and that the number of Councillors to be elected thereto shall be twelve, exclusive of the Mayor. Also that the said borough shall be divided into four wards, with the names and boundaries described in the Second Schedule hereto, and that the number of Councillors to be elected for each of the said wards shall be three.
And I do further proclaim and declare that EDWARD BEATTY ALEXANDER, of Auckland, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; and that JOSEPH WEBLEY, of Auckland, shall be the Town Clerk, and the person to prepare the district electors roll for the purposes of the said first election.
And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough shall be held on Saturday, the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six; and that the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the nineteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six, at half past seven o’clock in the afternoon, at Saint Barnabas Hall, Bellevue Road, Mount Eden.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the City of Auckland from the easternmost corner of Original Allotment No. 2 of Section No. 10 of the Suburbs of Auckland to the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 105 of Section No. 6 of the Suburbs of Auckland (gaol reserve); thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 105 and 106 of the said Section No. 6 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence towards the south-east generally by the eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 106, 107, and 108 of Section No. 6 aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary-line produced to the Mount Eden Recreation Reserve; thence by the eastern boundary-lines of the said Mount Eden Recreation Reserve to the northernmost corner of Original Allotment No. 11 of Section No. 6 aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Original Allotments Nos. 11 and 12 and the south-eastern boundary-lines of Original Allotments No. 13 and 47 of Section No. 6 aforesaid to the northern boundary-line of Original Allotment No. 68 of Section No. 10 aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned allotment to a point distant 1356 links from the north-eastern corner of the said Allotment No. 68; thence by a right line to a point on the northern boundary-line of Original Allotment No. 75 of Section No. 10 aforesaid, distant 1356 links from the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by Subdivisional Allotments Nos. 9 and 10 of the said Original Allotment No. 75 to a point on the southern boundary-line of the said Allotment No. 75, distant 1356 links from its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line to a point on the northern boundary-line of Allotment No. 79, distant 1356 links from its north-eastern corner; thence towards the south-west by the southern side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Original Allotments Nos. 79, 92, and 115 of Section No. 10 aforesaid to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by a right line across Mount Roskill Road to the easternmost corner of Allotment No. 125 of Section No. 10 aforesaid; thence by the said Allotment No. 125 to its northernmost corner; and thence towards the north-west generally by Mount Albert and Eden Terrace Road Districts, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883, to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.

Bounded towards the north generally by the City of Auckland from the easternmost corner of Original Allotment No. 2 of Section No. 10, Suburbs of Auckland, to the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 105 of Section No. 6, Suburbs of Auckland (gaol reserve); thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 105 and 106 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence towards the east by the eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 106 and 107 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence towards the south generally by the south-eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 107 and 108 of Section No. 6 aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary-line produced to Mount Eden Road; thence by the said Mount Eden Road to its junction with the terrace which forms the northern boundaries of Lots Nos. 13, 14, and 15; thence by the said terrace to View Road; thence by the said View Road to Mount Roskill Road; thence by the said Mount Roskill Road to George Street West; thence by the said George Street West to the eastern boundary of Mount Albert Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883; and thence towards the north-west by the said Mount Albert Road District and Eden Terrace Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883, to the place of commencement.
