Special Order made by the Council of the County of Pahiatua.

THE following special order, made by the Pahiatua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order striking Special Rate.—Loan No. 73.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council, under the provisions of the above-named Act, for the purpose of metalling about 52 chains of the Ballance-Gorge Road fronting Section 10, Block I, Mangahao (the work to be done in conjunction with a Government grant of £75 and a subsidy from the County Council), the said Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of the sections in the Ballance-Gorge Road Special-rating District—viz., Sections 10, 11, and 12, Block I, Mangahao Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, at 4 per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council on the 3rd day of March, 1906, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council on the 7th day of April, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Waipipi Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIPipi ROAD DISTRICT.
Special Order.
THE following special order was made at a special meeting of the Waipipi Road Board on Saturday, the 10th day of March, 1906, and confirmed at a meeting on Saturday, the 14th day of April, 1906:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” the Waipipi Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700, authorised to be raised by the Waipipi Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling portion of Kent and Kirk Streets, Waiuku Village, and portions of the Waiuku-Karioitahi Road and Waiuku-Lamb Hill Road, the said Waipipi Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in No. 2 Subdivision, Waipipi Road District, comprising all that area hereinafter described—commencing at a point on the coast, being the south-western corner of Lot No. 8 of the Waipipi Parish, and continuing eastward by the southern boundary-line of Allotments Nos. 8, 7, 6, 10, and 12 of the Waipipi Parish to the south-eastern corner of Lot 12 aforesaid; thence in a northern direction by the eastern boundary-lines of Lots 12 and 4, Waipipi Parish, to the centre of that road forming the northern boundary of Lot 4 aforesaid; thence by a line in the centre of that road forming the southern boundaries of Lots 2, 228, and 227, Waipipi Parish; thence northward by a line in the centre of that road forming the eastern boundary of Lot 227 to the Waiuku River, and by the Waiuku River northward to the termination of a road running through Lot 314, Waipipi Parish; thence by the middle line of that road to the south-western corner of Lot 129, Waipipi Parish, and continuing in a straight line westerly through Lot 407, Waipipi Parish, to the sea; thence by high-water mark to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made by the Waipipi Road Board in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Acts Amendment Act, 1905.”

THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £50.—Road to Prime and Mist’s Sections.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of trimming and gravelling road from Adamson’s Track across railway to boundary between Sections 72 and 73, Taihape Village Extension, a distance of about 13¼ chains, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Prime Special-rating District, comprising Sections 72 and 73, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, being Taihape Village Extension sections; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
I, Reginald Edward Beckett, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 3rd day of March, 1906, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 7th day of April, 1906.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 11th day of April, 1906, a proposal was submitted by the Ashburton Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Ashburton for raising a special loan of £1,000 for the erection of a pavilion and grandstand in the Ashburton Domain; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 144; against, 95; informal votes, 4.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
