THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Wanganui, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

Notice under Section 13 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
I HEREBY publicly notify that at the poll taken on the 11th day of April, 1906, on the proposal of the Wanganui Borough Council to borrow £30,000 for the construction, under “The Tramways Act, 1894,” and other Acts enabling it in that behalf, of a steam-motor tramway along the streets of the borough and outside the borough to a point in the Waitotara County on the River Bank Road, and to provide other things incidental thereto, the following votes were recorded: For the proposal, 581; against the proposal, 332; informal, 9.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

RESULT of poll taken on the 12th day of April, 1906, on the proposal to borrow £4,000, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the following works: Constructing the Oaonui, Waiteika, Waiaua, Ouri (two), and Oeo Bridges in the said county.
Number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 286; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 48.
I hereby declare the above proposal to be carried.

Notice.
Proposal to raise a Loan of £5,000 upon which a Poll was taken on the 17th day of April, 1906.
THE result of the poll of the ratepayers of the Remuera Road District taken on the 17th day of April instant, on the proposal to raise a sum of £5,000 for the extension of the existing waterworks of the said district, having been ascertained, I hereby give notice that the number of votes recorded for and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 49 votes; against the proposal, 4 votes; informal, 2 votes.
And I hereby declare that the resolution in favour of such proposal was carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, on behalf of His Majesty, to take compulsorily, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and its amendments, the land the acreage, description, and classification of which, as also the names and addresses of the owners of such land, are specified in the Schedule hereto; and every owner of the land, and also every other person having any estate or interest therein, is hereby required to serve their respective claims for compensation on the Minister of Lands, in the form and manner and within the period provided by the said Acts.

Bounded towards the north by Section 7, Block II, Waimana Survey District (Opouriao Settlement), and Section 5, a subdivision of Section 307 of the Parish of Waimana, 9082·8 links; thence by Section 5 aforesaid and Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, all subdivisions of the aforesaid Section 307, Parish of Waimana, and by Sections 220 and 221 of the Parish of Waimana aforesaid, 22854·4 links;
