Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or parti-
cular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Auckland Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land
so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1,
Block I, Piopiotea Survey District. Bounded towards the
north by Section No. 8, Block XVI, of the Township of Tau-
marunui; towards the east by Sections Nos. 1, 5, 6, and 7 of
the said Block XVI; towards the south by Taitua Street;
and towards the west by Matata Street: as the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55074/1, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured purple. For a site for a public school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and six.

for a mechanics’ institute and athenæum.

this thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and six.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of
“The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Friday, the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and six, as the time at which the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

Rural Land in Otago Land District open for Selection on
Lease in Perpetuity.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth
section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron
Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
having received the report of the Surveyor-General in
this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby
declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-ninth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and six; and
also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may be
selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with the
provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the
said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals,
minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the
price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned
in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land
shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The
Land Act, 1892.”
