POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Council of the County of Pohangina do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Council of the County of Pohangina, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for constructing a bridge over the Opawe Creek, the said Council of the County of Pohangina do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¹⁄₁₆d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tamaki Riding as shown on the valuation roll of the said riding for the time being in force; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

THAT, by way of special order, and under the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and their amendments respectively, the Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolve to raise by way of special loan the sum of £850 for the purpose of constructing river-protective work at a point known as the Ferry Road, and that a special rate of ¹⁄₁₄d. in the pound sterling be and the same is hereby made and levied upon the capital value of the whole of the rateable property comprised in the Tamaki Riding, the Awahou Riding (excluding therefrom the Malton Block), and Sections 43 to 51 inclusive, 54, 55, 56, 78, B. XIII, Pohangina S.D.; 22, 23, and part 21, B. XVI, Apiti S.D.; and 3, 4, 6, and 23, B. X, Umutoi S.D., as security for the payment of instalments of principal and interest and other charges on the said loan—so much of such special rate to be levied year by year during the currency of the said loan as shall be sufficient to provide such instalments of principal and interest and other charges thereon; and that such special rate be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and

the 1st day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 22nd day of November, 1905; confirmed this 13th day of January, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Grey County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.

Copy of special order made by the Grey County Council on the 24th day of October, 1905, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1905:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Council of the County of Grey hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the said Council of the County of Grey, under the above-mentioned Act, for the reconstruction of the Taramakau Bridge, Kumara—Greenstone Road, the said Council of the County of Grey hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the County of Grey, comprising the Ridings of Waipuna, Nelson Creek, Red Jack’s, Cobden, Brunnerton, Paroa, Maori Creek, Marsden, and Hohonu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of special order made by the Grey County Council on the 24th day of October, 1905, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1905.
