In pursuance of the powers vested in them by “The Counties Act, 1886,” “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof respectively, and every other power enabling it however conferred, the County Council of the Whangarei County make and constitute the following road district within the County of Whangarei. This special order shall take effect on and from the 31st day of March, 1906.
MANGAKAHIA ROAD DISTRICT.
All that area thereof in the Auckland Land District, in the County of Whangarei, commencing at a point on the bank of the Mangakahia River where the said river intersects the county-boundary; towards the north by the Mangakahia River and the northern boundary of Blocks 11 and 12 of the Mangakahia Survey District; towards the east by part of the eastern boundary of Block 12 of the said survey district, and by the Wairua River; towards the south by parts of the southern boundaries of Blocks 16 and 15 of the said survey district; and towards the south-west by the Whangarei County boundary to the commencing-point, be constituted a road district, under the name of “The Mangakahia Road District”; that the number of members of the Board thereof shall consist of five.
The common seal of the body corporate called “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei” was hereunto affixed and impressed by direction of the Council of the County of Whangarei, this 14th day of February, 1906, and in the presence of—

COUNTY OF WHANGAREI.
Special Order.
Special Order of the Whangarei County Council passed at a special meeting thereof on the 10th day of January, 1906, and confirmed on the 14th day of February, 1906, and sealed with the common seal of the body corporate called “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei” :—

WAIPU ROAD DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, County of Whangarei, commencing at the south-western angle of the Waipu North Road District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by part of the southern boundary of the Waipu North Road District to the north-eastern angle of Section No. 1 of the Parish of Waipu; towards the north-east generally by part of the southern boundary of the Waipu North Road District aforesaid to the sea, and by the sea to the northern boundary of Otamatea County at Cape Bream Tail; and towards the south and south-west by part of the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Otamatea County aforesaid to the point of commencement, be constituted a road district, under the name of “The Waipu Road District”; that the number of the members of the Board thereof shall consist of five.
The common seal of the body corporate called “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei” was hereunto affixed and impressed by direction of the Council of the County of Whangarei, this 14th day of February, 1906, and in the presence of—

WESTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, under “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the completion of the abattoir for the Borough of Westport, the said Borough Council does, by special order, make and levy a special annual-recurring rate of ¹⁄₁₆d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Westport appearing on the valuation roll for the time being in force; and that such rate shall be payable half-yearly on the 3rd day of January and the 3rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for the period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the first instalment of the said rate shall become payable on the 3rd day of July, 1906.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, by way of special order, and under the provisions of section 113 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolves to raise by way of special loan a sum of £1,400—in addition to the proposed contributions of the General Government and the several local authorities cited as contributors thereto—for the purpose of defraying its apportionment of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Pohangina River at a point known as the Ferry Ford, and that a special rate of ⁴⁄₂₉d. in the pound sterling be and the same is hereby made and levied on the capital value of the whole of the rateable property comprised in the Ridings of Awahou and Tamaki appearing on the valuation rolls of the said ridings for the time being in force as security for the payment of instalments of principal and interest and other charges on the said loan; and the said rate is exclusive of a liability by the Ridings of Mangaone and Pohangina in the sums of £150 and £100 sterling respectively, incurred by resolution of the Council on the 11th day of March, 1905, by way of additional security for the payment of such instalments of principal and interest referred to—so much of such special rate to be levied year by year during the currency of the said loan as shall be sufficient to provide such instalments of principal and interest and other charges thereon; and that such special rate be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each
