THE following Notice to Mariners, received from the Marine Board Offices, Port Adelaide, South Australia, is published for general information.

GULF OF ST. VINCENT.—ENTRANCE TO PORT WAKEFIELD.
Notice is hereby given that a white light, 8 ft. high, has been fixed on the south end of the wharf; also a red light, 20 ft. high, has been placed on the wharf 360 ft. north of the white light.
The above lights in line lead up to the outer red beacon, but do not show mid-channel inside of that.
This affects Admiralty Chart No. 2389B and Plan No. 2152.

FLOATING TARGET OFF VULCAN POINT.

THE master of the s.s. “Invercargill” reports sighting, at 9 a.m. on 18th February, a floating target drifting north, right in track of vessels, about three miles east of Vulcan Point, Moeraki light, bearing N.W. by N. ½ N. A danger to navigation.

THE list of candidates that passed with credit at the Civil Service Junior Examination of December, 1905, published in the Gazette of the 25th January, 1906, is hereby amended by striking out the name of Smale, Lily Ann, Napier, from the position of No. 199 (equal) in the order of merit, and inserting it after the name of Hancock, John, Dunedin, as No. 112 (equal) in order of merit.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts Compilation Act, 1905,” each registration of the industrial unions mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof unless within such period it is shown that it has not ceased to exist.
