Notifying Land in the Wellington Land District subject to “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Waddington Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts.
SCHEDULE.
WADDINGTON SETTLEMENT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 143 acres and 18 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 40 and 41, in the Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District. Bounded toward the north-east by Section 42, 5486·1 links; toward the south-east by Section 21, 3753·1 links; toward the south-west by other parts of Sections 41 and 40, 5168·5 links; toward the north-west by the Naenae Road, 1742·1 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19317, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.

MILLS SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 247 acres and 11 perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII, Waimate Survey District, being Sections 16106x, 21524, 25636, 30161, and part of 16106; also an area, containing by admeasurement 615 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, situated in Block XI of the same district, being Sections 16947, 17508, 19515, 21262, 23741, 23901, 29844, 36641, part of 17507, and part of 19514, making a total area of 862 acres 3 roods 31 perches: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19324, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and edged pink thereon.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 2 of “The Towns Main Streets Act, 1902,” I, Thomas Young Duncan, Minister of Lands, do hereby authorise the laying off of Tainui Road, Township of Somerfield Extension, Canterbury Land District, of a width of 66 ft., instead of 99 ft. as prescribed by section 17 of “The Land Act, 1892.”
