UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Ruanui 10-per-cent. Loan (£150).

RESOLVED, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act and its amendments, the Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby by way of special order resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £150 (such loan being 10 per cent. of the original £1,500 loan), authorised to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” for the purpose of taking, under the Public Works Act, if necessary, and completing the Adamson’s-Ruanui–Turakina Road, the said Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/60d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Adamson’s–Ruanui–Turakina Road Special-rating District, as defined by special order of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board for the original loan of £1,500, made on the 1st November, 1902; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a special order made (or adopted) at a special meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board held at Mangamahu on Saturday, the 6th January, 1906, of which meeting every member received due notice, and which special order was confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on Saturday, the 3rd February, 1906.

Special Order made by the Porangahau Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Porangahau Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PORANGAHAU ROAD BOARD HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1906.

Proposed by Mr. George Hunter, and seconded by Mr. George White:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and in accordance with the requirements of “The Road Boards Acts Amendment Act, 1905,” the following special order be adopted by the Porangahau Road Board: That whereas a loan of £2,500, raised by the Porangahau Road Board for the purpose of building a bridge over the Porangahau River at Makaramu and acquiring land for and making a road, having proved insufficient for the purpose for which the money was borrowed, the Porangahau Road Board do therefore resolve to apply to the Hon. the Colonial Treasurer for a further sum of £250, under subsection (a) of section 8 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” being 10 per cent. addition to the original loan of £2,500; and that, for the purpose of securing the interest of 5 per centum per annum payable on such additional loan of £250, the Porangahau Road Board makes and levies an annually recurring rate of 1/185d. in the pound upon all the rateable property within the Porangahau Road District for a period of twenty-six years, or during the currency of the above-mentioned additional loan, and that such rate be payable in one sum on the 1st day of December in each year.

And that a meeting of the Porangahau Road Board be held at 2 p.m. of Thursday, the 8th day of February, 1906, to confirm the above special order.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly confirmed at a meeting of the Porangahau Road Board held on Thursday, the 8th day of February, 1906.

Special Order made by the Mangorei Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Mangorei Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MANGOREI ROAD BOARD.

The Mangorei Road Board held a special meeting on the 23rd day of December, 1905, and adopted this special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mangorei Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Mangorei Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the constructing and metalling of a dray-road through part of Section 775, Mangorei Road District, and part of Section 791, Carrington Road District, both in Block 9, Paritutu Survey District, and the construction of a bridge over the Henui River, and for culverting and fencing on the line of the proposed road, and for providing compensation for lands taken or severed, the said Mangorei Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangorei Road Special-rating District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The Board held another special meeting on the 22nd day of January, 1906, when the above special order was duly confirmed.
