And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed
and performed :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
"The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for an accommodation-
house as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-
seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
six.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Land in Totaranui Survey District taken for Harbour Purposes.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for a certain public work, to wit, the purposes of a harbour :

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for the purposes of a dock and harbour :

And whereas the Greymouth Harbour Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1905” :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a harbour and dock as aforesaid, and shall, as from the date hereinafter specified, vest in the Greymouth Harbour Board. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.
