General Regulations of the Defence Forces of New Zealand amended.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Defence Act, 1886,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto such of the General Regulations of the Defence Forces of New Zealand, made on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, as are set forth in the said Schedule. And I do hereby declare that such amended regulations shall come into force on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

SCHEDULE.

AMMUNITION ALLOWANCE.

REGULATION 400, page 77. — After ninth line, ending in word “ammunition,” add line as under :—
“Permanent Force (R.N.Z.A. and R.N.Z.E.) : For every enrolled member, 100 rounds ball.”
Delete “and R.N.Z.A.” on thirteenth line.
Delete “and R.N.Z.E.” on fifteenth line.

General Regulations of the Defence Forces of New Zealand amended.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Defence Act, 1886,” and “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto such of the General Regulations of the Defence Forces of New Zealand, made on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, as are set forth in the said Schedule. I do hereby declare that such amended regulations shall come into force on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

SCHEDULE.

GARRISON ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS.

REGULATION 414 (page 79).—Delete words “The twelve members,” on fifth line, and substitute “Twelve per cent. of the strength of the company who qualify as the.”
Delete portion from “in a,” on fifth line, to “establishment,” on seventh line.
Delete portion from “The twelve,” on ninth line, to “establishment,” on first line of page 80, and substitute “Twelve per cent. of the strength of the company who qualify as the.”
Regulation 414 (page 80).—Delete portion from “of,” on third line, to “establishment,” on fourth line.

Land temporarily reserved in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, being Section No. 28, Block II, Motu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 978·1 and 437·5 links ; towards the south-east by a public road, 700·2, 507·8, 243·7, and 202·8 links ; and towards the north-west by Section No. 2, Block III, Urutawa East Survey District, 1555·9 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52282/10, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a public cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Land temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 23 perches, more or less, being Section No. 44A, Torere Village. Bounded towards the north-east by Wairanu Road, towards the south by Camp Stream, and towards the north-west by Section No. 44 in the said village ; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47766, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For gravel purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Exchanging a Reserve in the Auckland Land District for other Land.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the provisions and requirements of the seventh section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” have been duly complied with in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto : And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of Assembly, as provided by the said section of the said Act : And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notice :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Act aforesaid, do hereby exchange the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the land described in the second column of the said Schedule.
