THE following special order, made by the Parihaka Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.—Opua Road Loan No. 3, £1,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “ The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and subsection (4)
of section 14 of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and
amendments respectively, the Parihaka Road Board hereby
resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the
interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to
be raised by the Parihaka Road Board, under the provisions
of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of
completing formation and extension of metalling the Opua
Road from the south-west corner of Section 7, Block VI.,
Opunake Survey District, to a point 10 chains north-east of
subsection pegs 6 and 7, Block VII., Opunake Survey District,
the said Parihaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation
of all rateable property of the Opua Road Loan District
No. 3, comprising all that continuous area within the Parihaka Road Board District, comprising Sections 7, 9, and 11,
Block VI.; Sections 5, 6, 7, 13, 15, 17, and 19 of Block VII.;
Section 53, Block IX.; and Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Block X.,
all the said lands being situated in the Opunake Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate as security for the interest and sinking fund in
connection with such loan, and to provide for the payment
out of the loan-moneys of the cost of raising the loan and the
first year’s interest on such loan, and be payable on the 1st
day of January in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of forty-one years at £4 per cent.
per annum interest, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting
of the Parihaka Road Board held on Monday the 28th day of
August, 1905, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the
Board on the 11th day of October, 1905. I certify the same

amendments respectively, the Parihaka Road Board hereby
resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the
interest and other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorised to

of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of
forming, culverting, metalling, and bridging the Opourapa
Road from the Main South Road to a point 2 chains east of
the boundary peg between Sections 5 and 6, Block XIII.,
Cape Survey District, the said Parihaka Road Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. of a penny in the
pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of
the Opourapa Road Loan District, comprising all that continuous area within the Parihaka Road Board District, comprising all subdivisions of Section 106, part 119, Block I.,
Opunake Survey District; parts Sections 16 and 17,
Section 18, Subs. 1 and 2 of Section 19, Section 20,
Block II., Opunake Survey District; Sections 99, 100, 101,
Block XII., Cape Survey District; Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6,
Block XIII., Cape Survey District: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate as security for the
interest and sinking fund in connection with such loan, and
to provide for the payment out of the loan-moneys of the
cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest on such

the Raglan County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
In the matter of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
I HEREBY give notice that on the 28th day of October, 1905,
a proposal was submitted to the ratepayers of the Pukekawa
Special-rating District of the Raglan County for raising a
loan of £1,200 for the purpose of forming and metalling the
roads within the special-rating district, and that the number
of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal
were as follows: For, 18; against, 5.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

BOROUGH OF HAMILTON.
In the matter of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and
the Acts amending the same.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 7th day of November,
1905, a proposal was submitted by the Hamilton Borough
Council to the ratepayers of the borough to borrow the sum
of £2,000 for additions, alterations, and improvements to the
present saleyards, Hamilton West, and their extension to
Lot 453, the formation of a new street, and any buildings
and other appurtenances as the Hamilton Borough Council
may from time to time consider necessary for the conduct of
market business.
