At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth
day of November, 1905.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The
Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it
is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any
county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall
not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of
the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Cook County Council has applied for
such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule
hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the
above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby consent to the Cook County Council
closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Public Works Act, 1903.”

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth
day of November, 1905.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Johnsonville District Town Board did,
on the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and five, pass a resolution excepting from the opera-
tion and provisions of subsection one of section three of
“ The Public Works Act, 1903,” certain roads or streets in
the said town district and under the control of the said
Board, and being, amongst others, those specified in the
Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred by subsection one of section three of “The Public
Works Act, 1903,” and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby approve the said resolution in so far as the same
relates to the roads or streets specified in the Schedule
hereto.

THE following roads or streets within the Town District of
Johnsonville: Woodland Road, Hill Street, Prospect Ter-
race, Railway Terrace, Brook Street, Doctor Taylor Terrace.

Fixing Date of Payment of Land-tax for 1905–6.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth
day of November, 1905.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
vested in him under “The Land and Income Assess-
ment Act, 1900,” and “The Land-tax and Income-tax Act,
1905,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and
determine that the respective duties leviable under the said
Acts by way of land-tax, and of further graduated land-tax,
shall be paid in one sum on Thursday, the thirtieth day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and five:
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as
aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place
where the said duties of land-tax shall be payable shall be
the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, at the Government
Buildings, Wellington, and that notice to the foregoing effect
shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,” to the Clutha County
Council, in respect of the Port Molyneux Public Cemetery.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the
twelfth day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-seven, the powers conferred upon the Governor
by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the
appointment and removal of trustees, were delegated to the
Council of the County of Clutha, in pursuance of section
two of “The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,”
in respect to the cemetery described in the Schedule
