HANGAROA ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER made on the 20th day of September, 1905; confirmed on the 1st day of November, 1905:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and its amendments, the Hangaroa Road Board do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Hangaroa Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the formation of Gisborne-Hangaroa Road, the said Hangaroa Road Board do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Hangaroa Road Loan District, comprising Sections 7, 15, 16, and 17, Block VIII., Hangaroa; Section 22, VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 3 and 20, IV. and VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 5 and 6, Block V., Patutahi; Section 2, Block V., Patutahi; Sections 6, 8, and 10, VIII., Hangaroa; Subsection 1, S.G.R. 29, Hangaroa, II.; Sections 2 and 3, VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 4, 5, 12, 13, and 14, VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 11 and 9, VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 3 and 1, V., Patutahi; Section 4, V., Patutahi; Section E.R. 1, V., Patutahi; S.G.R. 27, Tauwharetoi Block; Section 35, Tauwharetoi Block; Run 48 (4042), Section 2c. Hangaroa-Matawai; Lot 2 of S.G.R. 32, VI., Hangaroa; Section 21, VIII., Hangaroa; Sections 1, 18, and 19, VII. and VIII., Hangaroa; Section 124, V., Patutahi; S.G.R. 65, II. and VI., Hangaroa; Lot 1, S.G.R. 32, VI. and X., Hangaroa: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

The common seal of the inhabitants of the Hangaroa Road District was hereto affixed in the presence of—

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

Proposed Rangiwaea Loan, £4,000.—Result of Poll.

Proposal to borrow £4,000 from the Colonial Treasurer, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, for the purpose of forming dray-roads and erecting bridges in and giving access to the Rangiwaea Block. A poll was taken on the above proposal on the 28th day of October, 1905, with the following result: For the proposal, 23; against the proposal, 2; informal, 0.

There being in favour of the proposal more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded at the poll, I hereby declare the proposal carried.

Dated at Mangamahu, this 30th of October, 1905.
