Appointing Time and Place for First Meeting of Puniu Domain Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, 1905.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made and issued on the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and five, certain persons were appointed to be the Puniu Domain Board, and Saturday, the second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and five, at three o’clock p.m., was appointed as the time when, and the Public Library at Te Awamutu as the place where, the first meeting of the Board was to be held:

And whereas the Board omitted to hold a meeting at the time and place appointed, and it is necessary to appoint another time and place for the first meeting:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and the amendments thereof (including “The Domain Boards Act, 1904”), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and five, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of the Puniu Domain Board at Te Awamutu as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

Extending Time for holding General Election of Councillors in certain Counties.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, 1905.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section eighty-eight of “The Counties Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the general election of members of the various County Councils throughout the colony shall be held on the second Wednesday in November: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such election in certain counties:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section thirteen of “The Counties Act Amendment Act, 1903,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of Councillors for the Counties of Akaroa, Amuri, Ashburton, Cheviot, Geraldine, Levels, Mount Herbert, Mackenzie, and Selwyn; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid counties the said general election shall be held and take place on Wednesday, the fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and five.

Authorising the Exchange of a Portion of a Reserve in Canterbury for other Land.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, 1905.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a State forest: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

Description of Portion of Reserve intended to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 91 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve 3272, situate in Block XIII., Mount Thomas Survey District. Commencing at a point on the western boundary of Section 33170, the said point being distant south-easterly 2808·8 links from the north-western corner thereof: thence southerly by the said Section 33170, 8568·4 links: thence in a northerly direction by lines bearing respectively 143° 59′, 174·8 links; 315° 31′, 123·7 links; 337° 13′, 149·6 links; 311° 54′, 425·6 links; 157° 45′, 741·2 links; 132° 05′, 486 links; 108° 27′, 534·1 links; 124° 14′, 136·3 links; 144° 06′, 197·6 links; 168° 45′, 2949·3 links; 147° 35′, 505·5 links; 170° 12′, 239·3 links; 181° 07′, 1462·6 links; 201° 39′, 1200·6 links; 239° 03′, 183 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47788, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged pink. All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 91 acres, more or less, being the north-western portion of Rural Section 33170, situate in Block XIII., Mount Thomas Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Reserve 3272, 4846·5 links: towards the south-east by said Section 33170, by lines bearing respectively 199° 12′, 1336·7 links; 221° 27′, 1685·3 links; 239° 03′, 2771·1 links: and towards the west by the said Reserve 3272, 2808·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47788, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged green.
