Appointment of Trustees of Woodend Rifle Range Reserve.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under “The Defence Act, 1886,” “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” and regulations thereunder, of the appointment of

Lieut.-Colonel ARTHUR BAUCHOP, C.M.G., New Zealand Militia, Officer Commanding Canterbury District;

Lieut.-Colonel HENRY SLATER, V.D., Retired List;

Major DAVID COSGROVE, Active List, New Zealand Volunteers; and

Captain SAMUEL MACKAY McGEE, Active List, New Zealand Volunteers,

as Trustees of the Woodend Rifle Range Reserve, being Reserve No. 807, in the Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury Land District, and containing 288 acres, more or less. Bounded on the north by the road forming the northern boundary of Sections Nos. 4538 and 4539, and a line in continuation of the southern side thereof; on the east by the road reserved along high-water mark; on the south by the northern boundary of Sections Nos. 10695 and 10929, and a line extending eastward and westward in continuation of that boundary; and on the west by the aforesaid Section No. 4539 for a distance of about 23 chains.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve under “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886,” “The Kaiapoi Drill-shed Act, 1888,” and “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” and “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” of the appointment of

Lieut.-Colonel ARTHUR BAUCHOP, C.M.G., New Zealand Militia, Officer Commanding Canterbury District,

as a Trustee of the Kaiapoi Drill-shed Reserve, vice Colonel Henry Gordon, retired; and to approve also under the aforesaid Acts of the appointment of

Captain ERNEST EDWARD PAPPRILL, Kaiapoi Rifle Volunteers,

as an additional Trustee of the aforesaid Kaiapoi Drill-shed Reserve.

Appointments to date from 30th August, 1905.
