THE following special order, made by the Eltham Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order making a Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Eltham Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing the undermentioned drains, watercourses, or outfalls for water—namely, a drain, watercourse, or outfall for water commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 36, Block XI., Ngaiere Survey District (forest reserve), and running in a north-easterly direction along the drain reserve between that section and Section 41 of said block to its junction with the Pukengahu Block (hereinafter referred to as “the central point”) a distance of about 28 chains; thence in a north-westerly direction from such central point along the block-line between Blocks VII. and XI., Ngaiere Survey District aforesaid, to the southernmost boundary of Sub. 10 of Sub. 1, Pukengahu Block, Block VII. aforesaid, a distance of about 25 chains; thence again from such central point along such last-mentioned block-line in a south-easterly direction a distance of about 21 chains; and thence continuing in a north-easterly direction through a portion of Sub. 12 of said Sub. 1, Pukengahu Block, to western boundary of Sub. 13 of said Subdivision 1 a distance of about 14 chains; and finally from such central point aforesaid in a direct line to the boundary-line between Subs. 8 and 9 of said Sub. 1 at its junction with said Sub. 10 a distance of 80 chains, more or less (the said proposed works being one continuous public work, and all contained within the Eltham Drainage District)—the said Eltham Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of that portion of the Eltham Drainage District comprising Subdivisions Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 of said Sub. 1, Pukengahu Block, Block VII., Ngaiere Survey District; Section 36, Block XI., Ngaiere Survey District; and the western portion of Section 41, Block XI. aforesaid, containing 100 acres: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as a security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate of £5 per centum per annum, and the costs of raising such loan, and the interest thereon for one year, are to be paid out of the loan.
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Eltham Drainage Board held on the 5th day of August, 1905, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 5th day of September, 1905.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Rangitikei.

THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £120, Otaihape Roads.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £120, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for construction of roads in the Otaihape Improved-farm Settlement, being 10 per centum of original loan of £1,200, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Otaihape Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 to 14 inclusive, Otaihape Improved-farm Settlement; Sections 16, 17, 18, and 20 to 27 inclusive, being Taihape suburban and village-settlement sections and the former C.L. reserve, now subdivided, comprising Sections 1 to 7 inclusive, Block XIX., and 1 to 11 inclusive, Block XX., and Section 78, all being in Block XIV., Ohinewairua Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, John Willoughby Marshall, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 5th day of August, 1905, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 2nd day of September, 1905.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

THE following special order, made by the Blenheim Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice is hereby given that at a duly convened special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held at the Council Chambers, Blenheim, on the 20th day of July, 1905, the following resolution (intended to operate as a special order) was duly passed, and that at a duly convened special meeting of the Council held on the 18th day of August, 1905, was duly confirmed, which resolution is as follows:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” their respective amendments, and any other Act or Acts (if any), the Council of the Borough of Blenheim hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the said Council of the Borough of Blenheim, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, for the purpose of erecting a Town Hall and offices, the said Council of the Borough of Blenheim hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound sterling on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the said Borough of Blenheim; such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 15th days of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
