Land temporarily reserved in the Taranaki Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 512 acres, more or less, being part of Section No. 6, Block X., Upper Waitara Survey District. Bounded towards the west and towards the north-west by Section No. 6, Block IX., Upper Waitara Survey District, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block X., of the said district; towards the north-east by a right line from the said point to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 1; towards the south-east by the last-mentioned section; and towards the south by Section No. 18 of Block XIV., Upper Waitara Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 22157/37, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged green. For a forest reserve.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 76 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block X., Upper Waitara Survey District. Bounded towards the east generally by Section No. 5, Block X., Upper Waitara Survey District; and towards the west generally by the Pehu Stream and by the Okoke Road. For a forest reserve.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 712 acres, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block XIII., Upper Waitara Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Mangapito Road; towards the south-east by Section No. 5, Block XIII., Upper Waitara Survey District; towards the south by Section No. 3 of the said Block XIII.; towards the south-west by Section No. 2 of the aforesaid Block XIII.; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 8 and 6 of Block XIII. aforesaid. For a forest reserve.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 699 acres, more or less, being Section No. 18, Block XIV., Upper Waitara Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 6, Block X., Upper Waitara Survey District; towards the east by Section No. 1, Block X., and by Section No. 3, Block XIV., of the said district; towards the south-west generally by the Mangapito Road; and towards the north-west by Section No. 6, Block IX., Upper Waitara Survey District. For a forest reserve.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 22157/37A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Bounded towards the north by Section No. 15, Block I., Hautapu Survey District; towards the north-east generally by the left bank of the Otaihape Stream; towards the south-east by Subdivision No. 4c No. 15 of the Awarua Block to the Mataroa Road; towards the south-west by the said Mataroa Road, by the crossing of the Otaihape Valley Road, and again by the Mataroa Road aforesaid; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 14 and 13 of the said Block I.: exclusive of that portion of the Otaihape Valley Road which intersects the above-described area: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 54146, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a forest reserve.

For primary education.
