Special Order made by the Council of the County of Horowhenua.

THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of special order made at special meeting held on the 8th day of July, 1905:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and Amendment Act, 1903, relating to special orders, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest at 4 per cent. and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” clause 14, subsection (4), and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” for the purpose of constructing water-races in the Hautere Water-race District, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/100d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Hautere Water-race District comprised in the sections defined in the special order creating the said district, and more particularly as set forth in the ratepayers’ consent; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. This special order to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 12th day of August, 1905.
I hereby certify the above to be a correct copy of special order referring to loan of £1,500 for Hautere Water-race District.

That the special order made at last special meeting re loan of £1,500, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its several amendments, for construction of water-races in the Hautere Water-race Special-rating District, and the special rate of 3/100d in the pound on the rateable valuation of said district to provide interest and other charges on the said loan at 4 per cent. for a period of forty-one years, be now confirmed, the same having been duly published as by statute provided.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £300, Mangarere Bridge.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: “That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for providing the balance of the Council’s share of constructing a cart-bridge over the Rangitikei River at Mangarere, known as the Mangarere Bridge, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/750d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Rangitikei County Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the rateable property within the County of Rangitikei outside the Town Districts of Bull’s
