Land temporarily reserved in the Canterbury Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 12 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3717, in red (formerly part of Lake Ellesmere Reserve No. 959), Block XIV., Halswell Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the road forming the south-western boundary of the Rabbit Island Settlement, situated in Block XIV., Halswell Survey District; towards the south-east by the Motukarara Railway-station Reserve; towards the south-west by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 2443 of the said Block XIV.; and towards the north-west by the continuation of the road in a north-easterly direction forming the north-western boundary of the said Rural Section No. 2443: exclusive of the railway reserve, 100 links wide, which intersects the above-described area: be the aforesaid linkage more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53706/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For railway purposes.

Notifying Lands in Canterbury for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the thirty first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and five, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Trustees for the Waihi Public Cemetery appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a Warrant dated the twenty-second day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, appointing trustees for the Waihi Public Cemetery, and do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the said Waihi Public Cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 1046 links; towards the south-east by a line, 1925 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 800 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 16 of the suburbs of Waihi, 1250 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 28937, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and five.
