Validating the Public Notification of the Special Order in connection with a Loan of £700 applied for by the Waimarino County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of August, 1905.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the Waimarino County Council lately proposed to raise a loan of seven hundred pounds for the purpose of formation, culverts, and widening, formation, and metalling on the Waipuna Ridge Road: And whereas the public notification of the special order making the special rate was published in the Wanganui Chronicle for four weeks, but was not published once in each week of the four weeks immediately preceding the date of the subsequent meeting at which the said special order was confirmed, as required by section eleven of “The Counties Act Amendment Act, 1903”: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the said notifications:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section ten of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” and acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that such public notice of the special order shall be deemed and taken to be as valid as though the said notification had been properly published, and that the proceedings relative to the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Validating the Public Notification of the Special Order in connection with an Additional Loan of £1,000 applied for by the Carterton Borough Council.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of August, 1905.

WHEREAS the Carterton Borough Council lately proposed to raise an additional loan of one thousand pounds (making a total of eleven thousand pounds), under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of providing a high-pressure water-supply for the Borough of Carterton: And whereas the public notification of the special order making the special rate was published in the Wairarapa Leader newspaper once in each of four weeks, but was not published once in each week of the five weeks intervening between the date of passing the resolution making the said special order and the date of the subsequent meeting at which such resolution was confirmed, as required by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900” (section seventy-three): And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the said publication:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section ten of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” and acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that such public notification of the special order shall be deemed and taken to be as valid as though the said notification had been properly published, and that the proceedings relative to the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and the amendments thereof (including “The Domain Boards Act, 1904”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and four, delegating powers to the Mangaweka Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

ARTHUR WRIGHT,
VINCENT ALTON GRENSIDE,
JOHN CHARLES LILLEY,
PATRICK JAMES McCANN,
JOHN AMER, and
MICHAEL CROWLEY
to be the Mangaweka Domain Board, having, subject to the said Acts, control of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called the Mangaweka Domain; and also doth hereby appoint Monday, the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and five, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public School, Mangaweka, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 101 to 104, Town of Mangaweka. Bounded towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 94, 70, 72, 74, 76, and 78; towards the north-east by Raumaewa Street; towards the south-east by Kapiti Terrace; and towards the south-west by Kawakawa Street.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 69, 71, 73, 75, and 77, Town of Mangaweka. Bounded towards the north-east by Raumaewa Street; towards the south-east by Mangawharariki Street; towards the south-west by Section No. 67; towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 30, 32, 34, and 36; and again towards the north-east and north-west by Section No. 119.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 39 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 99 and 100, Town of Mangaweka. Bounded towards the north-east by Kawakawa Street; towards the south-east by cliff of the Rangitikei River; towards the south-west by Section No. 98; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 62, 64, and 66.
