Regulations under “The Education Act, 1904.”—Examination and Classification of Teachers.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of August, 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Education Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the colony, doth hereby, in respect of the regulations for the examination and classification of teachers made by Orders in Council under “The Education Act, 1877,” on the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, and on the third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and four, make the alteration set forth in the Schedule hereto; and with the like advice and consent doth provide that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

CLAUSE 21, Examination for Class D, is amended by striking out the words “or that shall hereafter pass the Civil Service Junior Examination with credit.”

Authorising the Exchange of a Reserve in Wellington for other Land.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of August, 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto was permanently set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Description of Reserve intended to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 51 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 77, Block XVI., Ngamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 63, Block XIII., Maungakaretu Survey District; towards the south by Section No. 60, Block XVI., Ngamatea Survey District; and towards the north-west by Hales’s Track: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53917A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 51 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot No. 1 of Section No. 60, Block XVI., Ngamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Hales’s Track; and towards the east, south, and south-west by other part of the said Section No. 60: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53917B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting Reserves in the Levels County Council.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of August, 1905.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for gravel or quarry purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Levels County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Levels County,” in trust, as reserves for the purposes specified in the last column of the said Schedule.
