A PPLICATION having been made to me to register a transfer from GEORGE LOW, of Gore, Saddler, of Mortgage No. 12581, of which the said George Low is now registered proprietor, and declarations having been lodged of the destruction by fire of the outstanding duplicate of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that I intend to register the said transfer of mortgage, and to dispense with the production of the said duplicate mortgage as empowered by section 38 of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged in this office forbidding the same within fourteen days from the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

P LEASE take notice that a Meeting of Shareholders of the company will be held at the office of the Liquidator, 51, Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Friday, 25th August, 1905, at 3 p.m., for the purpose of laying before such meeting the accounts hereunder mentioned, and offering any desired explanation, when the following resolutions will be submitted:—

(1.) That the accounts submitted to this meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of be received and adopted.

(2.) That the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the liquidation thereof, be retained by the Liquidator for a period of three months, and after that period be destroyed.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR STREET-WIDENING PURPOSES IN THE CITY OF DUNEDIN.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and its amendments; and in the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and its amendments.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Dunedin proposes, under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and the amendments thereof, to take, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and its amendments, the lands mentioned and described in the Schedules hereto for the purposes of street-widening. The lands described in the First Schedule hereto are proposed to be taken for the purpose of widening Hillside Road, in the City of Dunedin; the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is proposed to be taken for the purpose of widening Main South Road, in the said city; the land described in the Third Schedule hereto is proposed to be taken for the purpose of widening David Street, in the said city.

And notice is hereby further given that plans showing the lands required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, are deposited in the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, situate in the Octagon, in the said city, and are open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objec-
