BOROUGH OF MAORI HILL.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 26th day of April, 1905, a proposal was submitted by the Maori Hill Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Maori Hill for making a contract for a period of twenty-one years with the Dunedin City Council for a supply of water for South Ward and part of East Ward of the said borough, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 133; against, 38. And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £172, being 10 per centum of original loan of £1,728, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and subsection (c) of section 8 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” for the construction of Peka Road, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Peka Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, Block XIII., Hautapu Survey District; part 3, Blocks XIII. and XIV., Hautapu Survey District; 1d, Otamakapua Native Reserve No. 1, Block XIII., Hautapu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £172.
I, Samuel J. Carman, Chairman of the Kiwitea County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the special order adopted at a special meeting of this Council held on the 18th March, 1905, and confirmed at a special meeting held 15th day of April, 1905.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £500, Mangarere Bridge.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for providing a portion of the Council’s share of constructing a cart-bridge over the Rangitikei River at Mangarere, known as the Mangarere Bridge, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Rangitikei County Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the rateable property within the County of Rangitikei outside the Town Districts of Bull’s and Lethbridge; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, John Willoughby Marshall, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 28th day of January, 1905, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 4th day of March, 1905.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making a Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £7,500, authorised to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes—(1) For general street improvements within the borough, £6,500; (2) to purchase a site for and erection of fire-brigade station, £460; (3) to provide for payment of mortgage on Borough Chambers, £230; (4) to pay to Hawera County Council the Council’s half-share of cost (£400) of erection Waingongoro Bridge on borough boundary, £200; (5) to purchase the Eltham Town Hall property, £110: total, £7,500 — the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property of the Eltham Borough as appearing on the valuation-roll: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully
