AWATERE ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Awatere Road Board on the 4th day of December, 1905:—

Resolved, That a special order be now made declaring the plants “winged thistle” (Carduus pycnocephalus) and “wild borage” (Echium violaceum) to be noxious weeds within the meaning of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” in the Awatere Road Board District.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Waikohu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIKOHU ROAD DISTRICT.

Kanaekanae Bridge Loan.—Special Order making Special Rate.

Made at a special meeting held on 18th September, 1905.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waikohu Road Board does hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorised to be raised by the Waikohu Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for erecting a cart-bridge across the Waipaoa River at the Kanaekanae Crossing, the said Waikohu Road Board does hereby make and levy a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Kanaekanae Bridge Special-rating District as follows; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 4 per cent.

BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICT.

Commencing at a point on the Waikohu River, being the intersection of the western boundary of Poututu Blocks 2, 4, B2, and proceeding thence by the centre of that river to the Waipaoa River; thence by the centre of that river to Rangatira Ford, at Karaka; thence by the centre of the main road to its intersection with the western boundary of the Ruangarahu Block; thence by that boundary to the centre of the Waipaoa River; thence towards the south-east by the centre of that river to the south-western boundary of the Ngakoroa

No. 2 Block; thence towards the north-east by a public road to the Mangataikehu Stream; thence by the centre of that stream and the centre of the Tapuitara and Hurunui Streams to the southern boundary of the Papakorokoro Block; thence by the southern and eastern boundaries of that block and the Waihora No. 2 Block to the Urumatai Stream; thence easterly to a right line to a point being the production of a right line drawn from Trig. 134 to Trig. 129; thence by a right line to Trig. 134; thence by another right line to Trig. 168; thence by a right line to Trig. Tangihanga; thence north-westerly by a right line to the western boundary of Tutamoe No. I. Block; thence south-westerly by the boundaries of that block and the Waipaoa No. 3A Block; thence south-easterly by the south-western boundaries of that block to the Waingaromia Stream; thence by the centre of that stream to the Waitangi Stream; thence westerly by the boundaries of Waitangi No. I., No. 2c, No. 2B Blocks, and the Pakake-a-Whirikoka Block to the centre of the Waipaoa River; thence southerly by the centre of that river to its junction with the Wheao Stream; thence northerly and westerly by the centre of that stream to a point being the intersection of a line being the eastern boundary of Block XIV., Mangatu Survey District; thence northerly by that line to the Urukokomoko Stream; thence by the centre of that stream to the northern boundary of Poututu B6 Block; thence easterly by the boundaries of Poututu Block to the north-west corner of that block; thence southerly by the western boundary of Poututu Block to the Waikohu River, the point of commencement.

MASTERTON COUNTY.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest, at the rate of £4 per centum per annum, and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing a bridge over the Waipoua River on the Upper Opaki Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipoua Bridge Loan Special-rating District, comprising Section 55, Block XIII., Kopuaranga Survey District; Allotments 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of the Akura Native Reserve, Block IV., Tiffin Survey District; Allotments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of Section 8, Block XVI., Sections 9 and 10, Block XII., Mikimiki Survey District; and the following parts of Sections 33 and 56, in Blocks XII. and XVI., Mikimiki Survey District, and XIII., Kopuaranga Survey District—152 acres 3 roods 33 perches (R. Buick), 541 acres 2 roods 9 perches (Joseph Iorns), 249 acres 2 roods 19 perches (J. Bourke), 371 acres 2 roods 10 perches (H. H. Wardell), 496 acres 2 roods 36 perches (A. Buick), and 90 acres and 21 perches (W. Kummer): and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
