And whereas the Native owners have agreed to make a free gift of the said land to His Majesty the King, and it has been made to appear that such agreement is sufficient for the purposes intended to be effected thereby:

And whereas by certificate of title, Vol. 75, folio 278, of the Register-book of the Auckland District, bearing date the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, certain aboriginal natives are declared to be the owners of Lot 63, Parish of Waipa, within which the said land is situated:

And whereas, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” a map has been prepared showing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and such map is hereto attached:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the land shown upon the said map and described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said Native school, and shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six.

West Taieri Drainage District extended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eleventh day of December, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Taieri, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the West Taieri Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such drainage district in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said West Taieri Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE WEST TAIERI DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, being Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11, and 12 (river sections). Bounded towards the north-west by the Lakefield or Centre Road; towards the north-east by Section No. 13; towards the south-east and south by the road along the right bank of the Taieri River; and towards the south-west by Section No. 8 of the said river sections.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

WEST TAIERI DRAINAGE DISTRICT (EXTENDED BOUNDARIES).

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, bounded towards the north-east generally by the Outram-Allanton Road from the northernmost corner of Section No. 7, Block I., Taieri Survey District, to its junction with the Lakefield or Centre Road at the southern boundary of Section No. 14 (river sections); thence by the said Lakefield or Centre Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 13 (river sections); thence by a right line across the last-mentioned road to the westernmost corner of the said Section No. 13; and thence by the last-mentioned section to the road along the right bank of the Taieri River: thence towards the south generally by the said road along the right bank of the Taieri River to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 8 (river sections); thence by the last-mentioned section and the production of its north-eastern boundary-line to the northern side of Lakefield or Centre Road; thence by the said Lakefield or Centre Road to the road known as Millar’s Road at Section No. 54, Block IV., Maungatua Survey District: thence towards the south-west by the said Millar’s Road forming the south-western boundary of Block III., Maungatua Survey District, to Lee’s Creek: thence towards the north-west by Lee’s Creek to the road forming the north-western boundary of Block II., Taieri Survey District; thence by the last-mentioned road and the road forming the north-western boundary of Block I., Taieri Survey District, to the place of commencement.

Pyramid Block Drainage District, County of Southland, constituted.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eleventh day of December, 1905.

Present:

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the third section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” a majority of the ratepayers in the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Southland, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand praying that the said area be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the third section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by the name of the “Pyramid Block Drainage District”; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fourth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall consist of five members, to be elected under and in accordance with the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

PYRAMID BLOCK DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, situated in Hokonui Survey District, bounded towards the north-east by the Lumsden-Pyramid Main Road from the Riversdale-Switzers Railway line to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 17 (shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 100); thence by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12 (shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 100), and the western side of that road produced to the Mataura River; thence by the said Mataura River to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Allotment No. 10 (shown on Land Transfer Plan No. 99); thence towards the south by a right line to the north-eastern corner of the said Allotment No. 10; and thence by the said Allotment No. 10 to the Gore-Riversdale Main Road; thence towards the south-west generally by the said Gore-Riversdale Main Road to Essex Street, Township of Riversdale; thence towards the north-west by the said Essex Street to its junction with Boston Street; thence again
