THE following special order, made by the Cook County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER made by the Cook County Council on the 27th day of May, and confirmed on the 25th day of June, 1904:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Cook County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Cook County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for constructing a part of Mill Road and a bridge thereon, the said Cook County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Paremata Special District, comprising Sections Nos. 65, 42, 44, 45, 46, 47, 43, 62, 63, and 55, Paremata Block, Blocks XI., XII., XV., XVI., Uawa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been made in accordance with law, and that all the requirements of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act have been complied with.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Cook County Council on the 17th June, and confirmed on the 15th July, 1904:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Cook County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Cook County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling one mile of Mangatu Road, the said Cook County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property of the Mangatu Loan District No. 2, comprising the following lands: Sub. 6, Lot 2 of 3, Mangatu No. 1; Section 13, Block XIV., Arowhana Survey District; Section 14, Blocks X., XI., XIV., Arowhana Survey District; Sections 11, 12, Blocks II., III., Mangatu Survey District, and XIV., Arowhana Survey District; Section 15, Block II., Mangatu Survey District, and X., XIV., Arowhana Survey District; Section 10, Blocks II., III., IV., VII., Mangatu Survey District; Section 25, Blocks XI., XV., Arowhana Survey District; and Sub. 7, 1 and 2 of 4, 1 of 3, Mangatu Block: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Opotiki Town Board.

THE following special order, made by the Opotiki Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

OPOTIKI TOWN BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Opotiki Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 5 per centum per annum, and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a wharf and shed on the Otara River, the said Opotiki Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Opotiki Town District, comprising all that area in the Provincial District of Auckland bounded towards the north and east by the Otara River; towards the south by a road, Sections Nos. 331, 17, 16, a road, Sections Nos. 15, 14, 13, a road, a cemetery reserve, and Sections Nos. 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 to the Waioeka River; and towards the west by that river: all the above-mentioned sections being in the Parish of Waioeka: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Opotiki Town Board held on the 27th June, 1904, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 26th July, 1904, in accordance with the provisions of “The Town Districts Act, 1881.”

THE following special order, made by the Hawera County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making and levying Special Rate.
RESOLUTION adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on Saturday, the 16th June, 1904:—
Mataiwhetu and Tahuri Roads Loan, £300.—That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Hawera County Council under the above-mentioned Act for forming portions of the Mataiwhetu and Tahuri Roads—viz., the Mataiwhetu Road from the Rawhitiroa Road to the Tahuri Road, thence the Tahuri Road so far as funds will permit—the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of that portion of the Eltham Riding of the Hawera County comprising Sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, Block X., Omona, and Section 4, Block XI., Omona; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum.

That, so far as legally may be, all Land Fund in hand and to accrue from the said sections shall be utilised in lieu of or in reduction of the said special rate.
I hereby certify that the resolution initiating the above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on Saturday, the 16th June, 1904, and duly confirmed at a meeting held on Saturday, the 16th July, 1904.
