County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at £4 per centum
per annum, and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised
to be raised by Horowhenua County Council, under the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for constructing a road from Shannon Township to Buckley Crossing, and acquiring land north of railway-line, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 55/100d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properties of the Shannon–Buckley No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Section 2, Part 5 (being 107 acres nearest the railway-line), Block XI., Mount Robinson Survey District, all inclusive; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was adopted at a special meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1903.

Confirmation of special order, 16th January, 1904:—

That this Council do now confirm the special order adopted at a special meeting on 19th December, 1903, relating to raising a loan of £50 for forty one years, at 4 per cent., for the construction of Shannon–Buckley Road, as set forth in the said special order.

This is to certify that the above special order has been duly passed.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent. per annum, and other charges on a loan of £65 (being £10 per centum of £650 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for straightening, deviating, and deepening Buckley Stream, and making a new outlet to the Manawatu River, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/25d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Buckley Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 to 5, part 6 (being 5 acres of the most northern corner), part 704 (being 200 acres of the south-western portion), Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2m; parts 5 to 8 (being 100 acres of the northern portions), parts 9 and 10 (being 60 acres contiguous to south-east side railway-line), parts 11 and 12 (being 20 acres contiguous to south side of railway-line), Block XI.; part 3 (being 15 acres of the northern portion),

part 4 (being 60 acres of the northern portion), part 5 (being 15 acres of the western portion), Block XV., Mount Robinson Survey District; all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of Council on the 12th day of March, 1904, to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 9th day of April, 1904.

The following confirming resolution was passed at a special meeting of Council held on the 9th day of April, 1904:—

That this Council do now confirm the special order adopted at a special meeting held on 12th March, 1904, relating to raising a loan of £65 (being 10 per cent. of £650 already raised) for forty-one years, at 4 per cent., for straightening, deviating, and deepening Buckley Stream, &c., as set forth in the said special order.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.—Junction Road Loan, £150.

THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling on the Junction Road, Purangi, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Junction Road Special-rating District, comprising the following lands: Sections 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, Block I., Ngatimaru Survey District; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 18. 19, 21, 29, 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41. 42, 43, 44, 45, Block II., Ngatimaru Survey District; 22, 23, 29, Block VI., Ngatimaru Survey District; 19, 25, Block V., Ngatimaru Survey District; 3, Block XIII., Upper Waitara Survey District; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, Purangi Township: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of February in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the interest shall be at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum for the said period of forty-one years.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made at a special meeting of the Clifton County Council held on the 8th April, 1904, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 6th May, 1904.
