That this Council do now confirm the special order adopted at a special meeting held on 12th March, 1904, relating to raising a loan of £60 (being 10 per cent. of £600 already raised) for forty-one years, at 4 per cent., for reforming and metalling Kaihinau Road, &c., as set forth in the said special order.

THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent. per annum, and other charges on a loan of £60 (being £10 per centum of £600 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for acquiring land, fencing and constructing Heatherlea East Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Heatherlea East Special-rating District, comprising Manawatu-Kukutauaki 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, and 10A, Heatherlea Reserve, Block XIII.; 13 to 20, 19A, 20A, Heatherlea, 7, 8, 9, Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District; 5 and 6, Block II., Waiopehu Survey District; part A No. 3, Horowhenua Block (being 250 acres of that half of section A which fronts the Arapaepae Road); all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of Council on the 12th day of March, 1904, to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 9th day of April, 1904.
The following confirming resolution was passed at a special meeting of Council held on the 9th day of April, 1904:—

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent. per annum, and other charges on a loan of £125 (being £10 per centum of £1,255 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for straightening, clearing, and deepening Koputoroa Stream, and making a new outlet to the Manawatu River, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Koputoroa Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, part 3 (being 30 acres of the most northern portion), Block X., Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 3; part Subdivision 2 (being 50 acres running along 60 chains of its eastern boundary from Manawatu River), Block X.; part Subdivision 2 (being 60 acres contiguous to south-eastern side of railway-line); part Subdivision 2 1B (being 30 acres contiguous to south-eastern side of railway-line), part Subdivision 1A (being 270 acres contiguous to south-eastern side of railway-line), part 7D No. 3 (being 100 acres of the north-eastern portion); Takapau No. 1; parts 1 and 2 (being 20 acres contiguous to north-western side of railway-line), Takapau No. 3; 1, 2, part 3 (being 20 acres of the north-eastern portion), Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District; all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
