THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and its amendments, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent. per annum, and other charges on a loan of £60 (being £10 per centum of £600 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for re-forming and metalling Kaihinau Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Kaihinau Special-rating District, comprising Sections parts 2 and 3 (being those parts which lie to the east of main county road), part 18 (being 100 acres of that portion which lies along its north-eastern boundary), 27 to 32, 34 to 38, Block XII., Mount Robinson Survey District; 5, 9 to 11, Block XII., Arawaru Survey District; all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of Council on the 12th day of March, 1904, to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 9th day of April, 1904.
