Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
coloured red thereon.

Also the Mimi-Mokau Road from northern end of bridge
crossing Uruti Creek at 31 miles 22 chains from New Plv-
mouth, along the frontages of Sections 5, 6, 13, and 12, 10,
11, Block XI., Section 8, Block VII., and Sections 2 and 3,
Block XII., Mimi Survey District, following a north-easterly
direction to the junction with Mangatuna Road at the southern
part of Mount Messenger, a distance of 5 miles 70 chains or
thereabouts ; as the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked R. 5161 No. 4, deposited in the office of the
Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, coloured red thereon.

Also the Ngatoto Road from its junction with the Junction
Road, along the frontages of Sections 8, 6, and 5, Block I.,
Ngatimaru Survey District, and part of Section 3, Block XIII.,
Upper Waitara Survey District, following a northerly direc-
tion for three miles to the junction with Whetu Road ; as the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
R. 5161 No. 2, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer
of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
coloured red thereon.

Also the Okohe Road from its junction with the Piko Road,
along the frontages of Sections 11 and 12, Block V., Upper
Waitara Survey District, and proceeding in a south-eas' erly
direction for a distance of one mile or thereabouts to the north-
west corner of Section 1, Block XI., Upper Waitara Survey
District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked R. 5161 No. 1, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, coloured red thereon.

Also the Piko Road from its junction with the Okoke Road,
along frontages of Section 11, Block V., Upper Waitara
Survey District, and proceeding in a southerly direction
to the north-west corner of Section 12, Block V., Upper
Waitara Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 20 chains or
thereabouts ; as the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked R. 5161 No. 1, deposited in the office of the
Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, coloured red thereon.

Also the Pukemahoe Road from its junction with the
Junction Road, along the frontages of Sections 10 and 12,
Block I., Ngatimaru Survey District, and proceeding gene-
rally in a southerly direction to a point 60 chains by road
south of the north-east corner of Section 12, Block I., Nga-
timaru Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 60 chains or
thereabouts ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked R. 5161 No. 2, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and coloured red thereon.

Also the Putiki Road from its junction with Mimi-Mokau
Road, along frontages of Sections 2, 3, 7, 14, and part 15,
Block VIII., Mimi Survey District, and proceeding generally
in a south-easterly direction to the junction with Tooi Road,
a distance of 2 miles 20 chains or thereabouts ; as the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
R. 5461 No. 4, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of
Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
coloured red thereon.

Also the Uruti Road from the south-west corner of Sec-
tion 14, Block II., Upper Waitara Survey District, and pro-
ceeding along frontages of Section 13, Block II., Section 3,
Block III., and Section 1, Block VII., Upper Waitara Survey
District, generally five miles in a south-easterly direction
to the south-west corner of Section 1, Block VII., Upper
Waitara Survey District ; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked R. 5161 No. 1, deposited in the
office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and coloured red thereon.

Declaring Roads in Patea East Road District to be District
Roads.


RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seven-
teenth day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare
that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, be district roads.


SCHEDULE.

MABEN ROAD.

THAT road in the Patea County and Taranaki Land District,
from its junction with Kahakoa Road, in Section 6, Block
XIV., Opaku Survey District, through Section 6 and front-
ing Runs 7 and 8, Block XIV., and 9 and part 10, Block X.,
Opaku Survey District, proceeding thence generally in a
northerly direction to junction with Ball Road, in Run
No. 10, Block X., Opaku Survey District.

WHENUAKURA VALLEY ROAD.

Also all that road in the Patea County and Taranaki Land
District, from its junction with Maben Road, through
University Reserve Section 1 and Run No. 7, both of Block
XIV., Opaku Survey District, proceeding thence generally
in a north-easterly direction to crossing of Whenuakura
River.

As the said roads are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked R. 5161 No. 9, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured crimson lake.

District, to be a District Road.

marked R. 5161 No. 6, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured crimson lake.
