Declaring Taumatahai Road, in Patea County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of May, 1904.

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

TAUMATATAHI ROAD.

ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District known as the Taumatahai Road, from its junction with Upper Waitotara Valley Road along frontage of Sections 4 and 6, Block VI., Kapara Survey District, proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction a distance of 40 chains to north-east boundary-line of Sections 24 and 25, Block VI., Kapara Survey District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161 No. 10, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake.

Declaring Eltham-Waitotara Road, in Hawera County, to be a County Road.

ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District, known as the Eltham-Waitotara Road, from the Mangatoromiro Creek Upper Crossing, in Subdivision 2, Matemateonga Block, Block X., Omona Survey District, through Subdivisions 1 and 2, Matemateonga Block, Block X., Omona Survey District, proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction, a distance of four miles, to the junction of the Matawhatu Road as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161 No. 8, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake.

Declaring Otokutu Road, in Wairoa Road District, to be a District Road.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of May, 1904.

ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District, from the boundary between Wellington and Taranaki Provinces, along frontages of Sections 9 and 10, and part 2, all in Block XVI., Opaku Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Okahutiria Road, a distance of 3 miles 37 chains; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R.5161 No.9, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake.

Authorising the Exchange of a Reserve in the Wellington Land District for other Land.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto forms the land which was permanently set apart for a school-site on the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889.” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

Description of Reserve intended to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block I., Nukumaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road; towards the east by a public road; and towards the west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51945, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section No. 8, Block I., Nukumaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by a road reserve along the right bank of the Waitotara River; towards the south-west by the Puao Block, Block I., Nukumaru Survey District; and towards the north-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51945, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.
