A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and sixty-second section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and
authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John
Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the block of
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby set apart and declared open for special improved-
farm settlement.
SCHEDULE.
KARU IMPROVED-FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1,924 acres, more or less, being Sections
Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Block XII., Otanake
Survey District, Kawhia County.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this eleventh day of April, in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and
four.

John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed
the road hereinafter described, that is to say,—

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners and mort-
gagee of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the con-
sent of the Waiwakaiho Road Board, being the local autho-
rity in whose district the said land is situated, do by this
notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto.
