The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year, shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £350.
I, Samuel J. Carman, Chairman of the Kiwitea County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was adopted by the Kiwitea County Council at a special meeting held on the 25th November, 1903, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 23rd December, 1903.

Special Order.
PROPOSED by Councillor Guthrie, seconded by Councillor Carman,—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of Totara Road, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Totara Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, Block X., Hautapua Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year, shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £200.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and “The Counties Act, 1886,” and the Acts amending the same, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £85, being the further advance of 10 per cent. on the original loan of £850 authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for completing the forming, grading, and bridging of the Mangaehu Road from the Mangatuku Road to a point half-way along the road-frontage of Section 16, Block III., Omona Survey District, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangaehu Road No. 3 Special-rating District, comprising part Section 3 (eastern half), Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, part Section 21 (southern half), and part Section 23 (southern half) of Block II., Omona Survey District, and Sections 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, and 16 of Block III., Omona Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off: the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.
The above special order was instituted at a special meeting held on the 20th day of January, 1904, and confirmed at a meeting held on 17th day of February, 1904.

OTAKI ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.—Special Rate.
Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Otaki Road Board resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorised to be raised by the Otaki Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” subsection (3) of clause 14, and “The Public Works Act, 1894,” clause 113, for the purpose of defraying the cost of erection of the Ohau High-level Bridge, the said Otaki Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₂₀₀d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Otaki Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is paid off: the said special order to be confirmed at a special meeting to be held on the 11th December, 1903.
