MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mauriceville County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorised to be raised by the Mauriceville County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of metalling part of Mount Munro Road West, the said Mauriceville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/7d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mount Munro Road West Metalling Loan Special-rating District, comprising Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 43, and 44, all in Block I., Kopuaranga Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. This order shall take effect upon confirmation.
I hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of December, 1903, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 30th day of January, 1904.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the providing and erecting a new retort-house and bed of retorts, additional purifiers, exhausters with h.p. steam-engine and boiler, by-pass for scrubber, alterations and additions to the Corporation gasworks and plant, and extensions of mains, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Borough of Masterton, comprising all that area contained within the boundaries of the said borough, described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th July, 1877, page 717; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three years and two months, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the said Borough Council of Masterton on the 28th day of December, 1903, and confirmed at a properly constituted meeting of the said Council held on the 26th day of January, 1904.
We hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made. In witness whereof the seal of the said Council has been hereunto affixed, this 2nd day of February, 1904.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest (£4 per centum per annum) and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for constructing 120 chains of Kimberley Road running east from Arapaepae Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¹/₁₀d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Kimberley Special-rating District; comprising Sections 66 to 71, 73 to 75, Block V.; 72, Block VI., Waiopenu Survey District; all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above special order was adopted at a special meeting held on the 19th December, 1903.
Confirmation of Special Order, 16th January, 1904.
That this Council do now confirm the special order adopted at a special meeting on the 19th December, 1903, relating to raising a loan of £350 for forty-one years, at 4 per cent., for the construction of 120 chains of Kimberley Road, as set forth in the said special order.
This is to certify that the above special order has been duly passed.
