Special Order made by the Kiwitea County Council.

THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.

PROPOSED by Councillor H. S. Meads, seconded by Councillor D. H. Guthrie,—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of providing half the cost of trimming and metalling, also to construct the Mangamako Road from end of present metal to junction of Signal Street, Village of Marshall, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Marshall Special-rating District, comprising Section 1, Block XV., Hautapu Survey District; Section 71, Blocks XV., Hautapu Survey District, and III., Apiti Survey District; Sections 73, 75, 77, and 8, Block XIV., Hautapu Survey District; Sections 74, 76, 78, 70, 62, 72, Block II., Apiti Survey District; Sections 1r, 1j, part 1h, Otamakapua Native Reserve; Sections 49, 2, 3, 24, 25, 1, 12, 13, 14, 5, 26, 27, 9, 20, 21, 22, 23, 16, 17, 28, 29, and 30, Village of Marshall: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year, shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £1,000.

The above special order was adopted by the Kiwitea County Council at a special meeting held on the 17th day of October, 1903, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 21st day of November, 1903.

Special Order made by the Pohangina County Council.

THE following special order, made by the Pohangina County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.

THE Chairman (Councillor Philpotts) moved,—

That, by way of special order, and under the provisions of section 60 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Pohangina County Council doth hereby authorise the several loans specified below, and the inscribed debt in respect of such loans, to be readjusted for the unexpired period of forty-one years; such readjustments to take effect from the 1st day of February next. The payments by the said Council on such loans and inscribed debt to be at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum during the unexpired period as aforesaid.

£383 19s. 6d. for construction of roads in the Coal Creek Riding; £1,580 8s. 5d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding; £935 4s. 3d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding; £1,002 2s. 4d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding; £779 6s. 10d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding; £207 13s. 10d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding; £597 15s. 11d. for construction of roads in the Umutoi Riding.

And that the above resolution be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Pohangina, on the 12th day of December, 1903.

The motion was seconded by Councillor Clark, and carried.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was submitted for confirmation by the Council at a meeting held on Saturday, the 12th day of December, 1903, and, on the motion of Councillor Clark, seconded by Councillor Hammond, duly confirmed.

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of Mangawharariki Road and fencing along the cliff boundary of said road, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangawharariki Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 5, 6, 24, 4, Block X., Hautapu Survey District; 1, 2, 3, 3B, and 4, Block XI., Hautapu Survey District; 3, 40, 39A, 39B, 38B, 37A, 37B, 36, 35, Block XV., Hautapu Survey District; 23A, 23B, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, Block XVI., Hautapu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year, shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £500.

It is hereby further notified that a special meeting of the Council will be held on the 21st day of November, 1903, to confirm the above special order, which was adopted on the 17th day of October, 1903.

The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year, shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £400.
