RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate. — Loan of £1,000, Taihape Drainage.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of constructing a pipe-drain in the Taihape Township, along Main Street, from Section 1, Block VIII., to Huia Street, and thence along Huia Street to outfall at Reserve 42; also a pipe-drain from Section 1, Block I., to Huia Street drain; and to provide house-drains up to kerb, and flush-tanks, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Taihape Drainage Special-rating District, comprising Section 1, Block I.; Sections 1 to 5 inclusive, and 14 to 20 inclusive, Block II.; Sections 1 to 6 inclusive, Block III.; Sections 1 to 11 inclusive, Block IV.; Sections 1 to 5 inclusive, Block V.; Sections 1 to 5 inclusive, Block VI.; Sections 1 and 2, Block VII.; and Sections 1 to 5 inclusive, Block VIII.—all of the Town of Taihape, Ohinewairua Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, John Willoughby Marshall, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 7th day of November, 1903, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 19th day of December, 1903.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling the Ngaruawahia–Waimai Road (the original loan of £3,000 being insufficient to complete the work), the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Special-rating District of Waipa-Pepepe, the boundaries of which are as follows: Commencing at the western end of the Waipa Bridge at Ngaruawahia; thence westerly along the southern boundary-line of Section 38 to line of 27; thence northerly and westerly along northern and eastern boundaries of Sections 27, 15, 19, 7, 8, 23, 10, 139, 119, 192, 199, and 195, to boundary of Pepepe and Whangape Parishes; thence along said boundary to Tainui Parish line; thence southerly along said line to intersection of southern boundary of Section 59; thence easterly along southern lines of Sections 59, 33, 55, and 218 to Puroa Block line; thence northerly along said line to Section 10, following southern boundary-lines of Sections 10, 93, 94, and 9 to road-line; thence northerly along road-line and Firewood Creek to junction at Waipa River, following west bank of river to point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 2nd day of January and 2nd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above order was adopted on the 14th day of October, 1903, and confirmed on the 25th November, 1903.

BOROUGH OF EAST INVERCARGILL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Borough Council of East Invercargill hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Borough Council of East Invercargill by a poll under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of constructing and establishing public works, the said Borough Council of East Invercargill hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Borough of East Invercargill, comprising the private townships of McMaster’s Estate, Sylvan Bank, Barwheys, and Hallsborough, and contained within the following boundary-line, namely: Commencing at the north-eastern angle of Section 2, thence south-easterly along the boundary between Sections 2 and 3 of Block I., Invercargill Hundred, 5100 links; thence south-westerly and thereafter due west along the northern boundary of public road-line, 2073 links and 1147 links respectively, to Elles Road; thence due north along the eastern boundary of Elles Road, 4050 links; thence due west across said road-line, 100 links; thence due north along western side of said road-line continued, 915 links; thence north-easterly across said road-line and along the northern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2 aforesaid, 1619½ links, to starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eleven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
