THE following special order, made by the Feilding
Borough Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF FEILDING.

Special Order making Special Rate.

THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £6,000, authorised to be raised by the
Feilding Borough Council, under the provisions of “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for concrete channelling
and kerbing, and other surface drainage, together with
widening formation and metalling of Kimbolton Road from
Weld Street to North Street, within the Borough of Feild-
ing, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable
valuation of all the rateable property of the Borough of
Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of
October in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was passed
at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Feild-
ing held on the 12th day of March, 1903, and duly confirmed
at a meeting of the said Council held on the 9th day of
April, 1903.

makes and levies a special rate of 2³⁄₅d. in the pound upon
the rateable valuation of all the rateable property of the
Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st
day of October in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

Special Order.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the above Council, at a
special meeting held on the 17th day of October, 1903,
adopted the following resolution:—

“That a special order be made that the Wirokino Road
Board be dissolved, and the Wirokino Road District merged
into the Horowhenua County, on and after the 25th of
November, 1903; and that this special order will be con-
firmed at a special meeting of this Council to be held on
25th day of November, 1903, at noon.

THE result of the poll taken on Wednesday, 11th November,
on the proposal to borrow the sum of £3,000, under “The
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of erecting
a Town Hall and Municipal Buildings, is as follows:—

For the proposal, 124; against the proposal, 111: majority
for the proposal, 13.

I therefore declare the proposal carried.

the Mataongaonga Road Board, is published in ac-
cordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1901.”

MATAONGAONGA ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll taken upon the 16th day of November, 1903,
upon a proposal of the Mataongaonga Road Board to raise a
loan of £800, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,”
for the purpose of (1) making a culvert and filling on River-
bank Road; (2) acquiring land for road to connect Morgan
Street, Sedgebrook, with the No. 3 Line of road, and form-
ing and metalling such road; (3) erecting a new bridge and
approaches near Mr. Pask’s property, No. 3 Line; and
(4) erecting a new culvert at Mr. Horsley’s property on No. 3
Line.

The sums it is proposed to borrow for such purposes
are as under: River-bank filling and culvert, £100; road to
Morgan Street with No. 3 Line, £410; bridge and approaches
near Mr. Pask’s, No. 3 Line, £250; culvert on No. 3 Line at
Mr. Horsley’s, £40.

It is proposed, for the purpose of providing for the pay-
ment and other charges, at the rate of 3½ per centum per
annum, to make and levy a special rate of ¹⁄₁₆d. in the pound
upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the
Mataongaonga Road District; such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully
paid off. The cost of raising the loan and interest for the
first year will be paid out of the loan.

For the proposal, 74; against the proposal, 19.

I therefore declare the proposal to be duly carried.
