STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That it be a special order that the East Riding be divided, and a new riding, to be called the Ohura Riding, be created, to include all the present East Riding to the north-east of a line running from Mount Humphries westward along the southern boundary-line of the Pahautuhia Block to the eastern corner of Section 19, Block XIII., Mahoe Survey District; thence southward and westward along the eastern boundary-lines of Sections 19 and 20 of Block XIII., Mahoe Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 21, Block XVI., Ngatimaru Survey District; thence westward by the southern boundary of Block XVI., Ngatimaru Survey District, to the western boundary of the same block; thence northward by the western boundary of Block XVI., Ngatimaru Survey District, to the northern boundary-line of Section 7 of the same block; thence westward to the north-east corner peg of Section 15 of Block XV., Ngatimaru Survey District, and along the northern boundary-line of Section 15, and the north eastern and northern boundary-lines of Sections 14, 13, 12, 11, and 10 of Block XV., Ngatimaru Survey District, the northern boundary-lines of Sections 11 and 10, and the western boundary-line of Section 12 of Block XIV., Ngatimaru Survey District, to the Strathmore Township; thence along the southern boundary of Strathmore Township to the western side of the Ohura Road; thence northward along the western side of the Ohura Road to the southern boundary of Block X., Ngatimaru Survey District; thence westward along the southern boundary of Block X. to the south-west corner of Section 15 of the same block; thence northward along the western boundary-lines of Sections 15 and 10 of Block X., Ngatimaru Survey District, to the Mohakau Road; thence along the southern side of the Mohakau Road to the Te Wera Road, and along the Te Wera Road to the “confiscation line.”
The East Riding to include the remaining portion of the present riding, and to retain the name of the East Riding.
The East Riding to return two and the Ohura Riding to return one Councillor to the Stratford County Council.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

THE following special order, made by the Cambridge Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Cambridge Borough Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of partially completing the waterworks in the Borough of Cambridge, as authorised in the original scheme, the said Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property of the Borough of Cambridge, comprising all the land within the said borough (1,083 acres), be the same a little more or less; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. Further, that such special loan shall be deemed to be and shall be levied as part of and in addition to the special rate made and levied by the Cambridge Borough Council on the 8th day of November, 1901, providing interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000 for the purpose of providing a water-supply for the Borough of Cambridge.

That the Cambridge Borough Council met on the 17th day of August, 1903, and duly made the special order, as advertised in the Waikato Argus of 18th and 25th August, the 1st, 8th, and 15th September, remitted herewith.

That on the 16th day of September, 1903, the Council duly confirmed the said order.

That due notice of such meeting was given to every member of the Council, as required by law.

THE following special order, made by the Tuhikaramea Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

TUHIKARAMEA ROAD BOARD.
In pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, 1902, the Tuhikaramea Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Tuhikaramea Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of erecting the school bridge, estimated to cost £130, and to complete the Rukuhia Swamp Road, estimated to cost £70, the said Tuhikaramea Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property as shown on the valuation roll of the Tuhikaramea Road District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
THE following is the result of the poll of ratepayers, taken on the 5th September, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £300, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendment, for metalling the unmetalled portion of Penny’s Line:—
Total number of votes recorded, 52: Number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 52; number of votes recorded against the proposal, nil.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
