CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.—Onaero Road Loan, £600.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf, the Clifton County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the said Clifton County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for forming and metalling the Onaero Road, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/18d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Onaero Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections part 1, Subsection 1 of Section 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10A, 35, 45, 42, 43, 38, 39, 40, part 44, parts 2, 3, and 4, 46, 55, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, part 2 and part 2, parts 20 and 21, 41, 34, 36, 37, 47, 48, 56, Block VII., Waitara Survey District; Sections 6, 7, 8, Block XI., Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and the interest shall be at the rate of 3¼ per cent. per annum for the said period of forty-one years.

The above special order was made on the 3rd July, 1903, and submitted for confirmation on the 22nd August, 1903.

WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Wirokino Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50 (being £10 per centum of £500 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Wirokino Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling Paiaka Road, the said Wirokino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/14d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Paiaka Special-rating District, comprising Ohinekakaeo No. 1; Opaekete Nos. 1 to 6; Otawhiwhi A, B, C; Paiaka; Manawatu-Kukutauaki 7F, 7G, part of Sub-No. 2, M.K. No. 3 (being that part which lies west of the railway-line), Blocks X. and XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District (all inclusive): and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Acts, 1901,” the Wirokino Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £60 (being £10 per centum of £600 already raised), authorised to be raised by the Wirokino Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for acquiring land, fencing and constructing Heatherlea East Road, the said Wirokino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Heatherlea East Special-rating District, comprising Manawatu-Kukutauaki 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 10A, Heatherlea Reserve, Block XIII., 13 to 20, 19A. 20A, Heatherlea, 7, 8, 9, Block XIV., Mount Robinson Survey District; 5, 6, Block II., Waiopenu Survey District; part A No. 3, Horowhenua Block (being 250 acres of that part of Section A which fronts Arapaeapae Road); all inclusive: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

Special Order passed on the 5th September, 1903.

At a duly convened meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, held at Mangamahu on 5th September, 1903, the following resolutions were carried:—

  1. “That the Board now make a special order raising a loan of £175, under section 14 of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Wangaehu River to connect Small Grazing-run No. 4, Block VII., Mangawhero Survey District, with the Wangaehu Valley Road.”

  2. “That the Board now make a special order making and levying a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in the Whare-mata Special-rating District, comprising Small Grazing-run No. 4, Block VII., Mangawhero Survey District, and Part No. 5, Education Reserve, Block VII., Mangawhero Survey District, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £175 authorised to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the erection of a bridge over the Wangaehu River to connect Small Grazing-run No. 4 with the Wangaehu Valley Road; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being the period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Public notice of such resolution was published in the Wanganui Chronicle of the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th August, 1903.

The common seal of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board was hereunto affixed on the 5th day of September, 1903, in the presence of—

Notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Balclutha was duly taken at the Borough Council Chambers, Balclutha, on Wednesday, the 9th September, 1903, upon the following proposal: A proposal to raise a loan of £600 for the purpose of erecting a Town Hall in the borough, which sum it is proposed
