Special Order made by the Wairarapa South County Council altering Boundaries of Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Wairarapa South County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT this Council, by special order, alters the boundaries of the Belvedere and Dalefield Ridings by transferring from the Belvedere Riding to the Dalefield Riding Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block V., Tiffen Survey District.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly passed by the Wairarapa South County Council at a special meeting held the 27th day of June, 1903, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held the 1st day of August, 1903. In witness whereof I have, this 10th day of August, 1903, affixed hereto my signature and the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Wairarapa South.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Wanganui County Council on the 13th day of February, 1903, and confirmed on the 12th day of May, 1903:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of acquiring land for a road to connect Okoia with Mataraua, and forming and metalling and providing necessary culverts for the said road, the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Mataraua Special-rating District, the boundaries of which are as follows: Commencing at the point where the eastern boundary of Section 127, Block III., Ikitara Survey District, touches the No. 2 Line of roads, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Section 127, and Section 126, same block, of the north-eastern corner of Section 128, same block; thence along the southern boundary of Section 270, same block, and the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 315 and 316, Block XIII., Ikitara Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of said Section 316; thence along the south-western, north-eastern, and north-western boundaries of said Section 316 to the south-eastern corner of Section 322, same block; thence along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of said Section 322 to its south-western corner; thence along the north-eastern boundary of Section 273, Block XII., Ikitara Survey District, to the point where Section 200, same block, touches at its easternmost point the Waikupa Road; thence by a right line in a westerly direction to the north-eastern corner of Section 208; thence along the northern and north-western boundaries of said Section 208 to Section 207, same block; thence along the northern boundary of said Section 207 to its north-western corner; thence along the western boundary of said Section 207 to the Waikupa Road; thence in a westerly direction along the Waikupa Road to its junction with the Okoia Road; thence in a westerly direction to a point on the northern boundary of Section 112, same block, about 5 chains distant from the said junction; thence by a right line in a southerly direction through said Section 112 and Section No. 57 to the No. 2 Line of road; thence along the said road in an easterly direction to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual rate during the currency of such loan, and payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Robert Neilson, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a special order made by the Wanganui County Council on the 13th February, 1903, and subsequently confirmed on the 12th day of May, 1903, and that the same was made in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

BOROUGH OF GREY LYNN.

Result of Poll.

I, JOHN WISDON SHACKELFORD, Mayor of the Borough of Grey Lynn, hereby give notice that the result of the poll taken in the said borough upon the proposal to raise a special loan of £3,500 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of purchasing all that piece or parcel of land, containing 22 acres 2 roods, being Allotment 5 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland, for the purpose of a public recreation-ground for the inhabitants of the Borough of Grey Lynn, which poll was held on the 19th day of August, 1903, was as follows:—

Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 189; number of votes against the proposal, 240: majority of votes against the proposal, 51. Informal, 6.

I therefore declare the proposal not carried.

Result of Poll.

I, JOHN WISDON SHACKELFORD, Mayor of the Borough of Grey Lynn, hereby give notice that the result of the poll taken in the said borough upon the proposal to raise a special loan of £1,000 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of repaying the existing overdraft of the Grey Lynn Borough Council, which poll was held on the 19th day of August, 1903, was as follows:—

Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 311; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 126: majority of votes for the proposal, 185. Informal, 4.

I therefore declare the proposal carried.
