THAT Omaha Road District be merged in the Rodney County. This order to take effect upon the 8th day of August, 1903.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £350, being a further advance of 10 per cent. on the original loan of £3,500, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for completing the construction and metalling of portions of the Cheal and Wingrove Roads, as contemplated under the original loan proposal, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Cheal and Wingrove Roads Special-rating District, comprising Subsections 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 17, of Subsection 1, Pukengahu, and parts of Subsection 2, Pukengahu, containing respectively 356 acres, 968 acres 3 roods 24 perches, and 3 acres 3 roods 22 perches, said subdivisions being situated in Block VII., Ngaiire Survey District; Sections 1, 2, and 3 of Subsection 2, Pukengahu; part of Allotment 3 of Section 2 of Subsection 2, Pukengahu; Subsection 4 of Subsection 2, Pukengahu; and parts of Subsection 2, Pukengahu, containing respectively 179 acres 1 rood 25 perches, 19 acres 2 roods 34 perches, and 3 roods 21 perches; and Subsections 1, 2, and 3 of Subsection 3, Pukengahu; all said properties being situated in Block VIII., Ngaiire Survey District; and Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, of Block VIII., Ngaiire Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of February in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 4½ per cent. per annum.
The above special order was instituted at a special meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of June, 1903, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 19th day of August, 1903.

Special Order made by the Waitara West Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Waitara West Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

THE following special order has been made by the Waitara West No. 11 Road Board:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Waitara West Road Board, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for construction of the Te Arei Road, the said Waitara West Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Te Arei Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, 168, 170, 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 179, 180, 252, Suburban 1 and 2, Manganui Township, part Section 181, Block IX., Section 158, Block XIII., all of which are situated in the Waitara Survey District, Taranaki County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the interest on such loan is to be at the rate of 4½ per centum per annum.”
I hereby certify that the above special order has been made and confirmed by the Waitara West Road Board in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

Special Order made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.
Certified Copies of Special Orders passed on the 8th Day of August, 1903.
At a duly convened special meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, held at Mangamahu on 8th August, 1903, the following resolutions were carried:—

“That the Board now make a special order raising a loan of £350, under section 14 of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Wangaehu River to connect Small Grazing-runs 1 and 2, Block VII., Mangawhero Survey District, with the Wangaehu Valley Road.”

“That the Board now make a special order making and levying a special rate of 3¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in the Glengar Special-rating District, comprising Small Grazing-runs 1 and 2, Block VII., Mangawhero Survey District, and the southern portion of the Taonui Block (1,900 acres), for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £350 authorised to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the erection of a bridge over the Wangaehu River to connect Small Grazing-runs 1 and 2 with the Wangaehu Valley Road; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being the period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Public notice of these resolutions was published in the Wanganui Chronicle of the 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th July, 1903, copies of which are hereto attached.
