for the purpose of alienation by way of sale, all that block or parcel of land, situate in the Chatham Islands, containing six hundred and twenty-one acres, more or less, being Sub-division No. 2 of the land known as Otonga No. 1½ No. 5, and being part of the land comprised in Land Transfer certificate of title, Volume cv., folio 243, in favour of Riakiao Wharepa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of June, 1903.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” a majority of the ratepayers in the district described in the Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Waikato, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand praying that the land comprised in the said district be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby constitute and declare the block of land described in the said petition, and in the Schedule hereto, to be a district for the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by the name of the “Eureka Drainage District”; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the ninth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall consist of five members, to be elected under and in accordance with the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
EUREKA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 11,200 acres, more or less, situated in the Parishes of Kirikiriros and Tamahere, in the County of Waikato, bounded towards the east generally by the eastern boundary of the County of Waikato, being the confiscation boundary-line, from the Waikato-Thames Railway-line at the northernmost corner of Section No. 1, Eureka Estate, to the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 18, Eureka Estate; thence by that road to the Morrinsville-Tauwhare Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to the Tauwhare-Hamilton Road; thence by the Tauwhare-Hamilton Road to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section No. 163, Parish of Tamahere; thence across that road to the north-eastern corner of the said Section No. 163; thence by the south-eastern and eastern boundary-lines of the said Section No. 163 and the eastern and southern boundary-lines of Section No. 164 to the road forming part of the south-western boundary of the said Section No. 164; thence across that road and by the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 161 to Section No. 160; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 160 to the easternmost corner of that section: thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 160 to its southernmost corner: thence towards the west generally by the road forming the south-western boundary of the said Section No. 160 and the road forming part of the southern boundary of Section No. 161 to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by the western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 161 and 162, Parish of Tamahere aforesaid, to Section No. 105; thence by the said Section No. 105 to the road forming part of the western boundary of Section No. 162 aforesaid; thence by that road and its continuation to the Tauwhare-Hamilton Road; thence by the Tauwhare-Hamilton Road to Avenue Road; thence by Avenue Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 9, Eureka Estate; thence across Avenue Road to the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 9; thence by the south-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 9 and the production of that boundary-line to the Waikato-Thames Railway-line: and thence towards the north-west by the Waikato-Thames Railway-line to the place of commencement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of June, 1903.

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedules hereto is required for a certain public work, to wit, a Native school:
And whereas it has been made a condition of the establishment of the said Native school that the site required therefor shall be a free gift from the Native owners to His Majesty the King, and the Native owners have agreed to such condition, and it has been made to appear that such agreement is sufficient for the purposes intended to be effected thereby:
And whereas by an order on investigation of title by the Native Land Court, dated the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, certain aboriginal natives, as in the said order mentioned, were declared to be the owners of the Tautara Block, within which the portion of the said land described in the First Schedule hereto is situated:
And whereas the other portion of the said land, situated in the Haroharo-oihoeka Block, and described in the Second Schedule hereto, is held or occupied by Native owners under their customs and usages, and the title thereto has not derived from the Crown, and is uninvestigated:
And whereas, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” a map has been prepared showing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and such map is hereto attached:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the land shown upon the said map and described in the Schedules hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said Native school, and shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the twenty-third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Ashburton, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
