the day upon which the election of the first Council of the
said County of Weber shall take place, and that Saturday,
the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
three, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, shall be the time, and
the Road Board Office at Ti-tree Point shall be the place, at
which the first meeting of the said Council shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
WEBER RIDING.
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, situated
in Weber County, bounded towards the north-west by the
north-western boundary-line of Weber County, as described
in the Schedule to “The Weber County Act, 1902,” from
Wakataura Trig. Station to the northernmost corner of
Section No. 1, Block II., Weber Survey District; thence
towards the east generally by the eastern boundary-lines of
Sections Nos. 1 and 2, Block II. aforesaid, to the Akitio
River; thence by the Akitio River to the Akitio River Road,
near Section No. 68, Block V.; thence by the Akitio River
Road to the south-eastern boundary of Weber County; and
thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundary
of Weber County aforesaid to the place of commencement.
TI-TREE POINT RIDING.
All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, situated
in Weber County, bounded towards the north-east by the
north-eastern boundary of Weber County, as described in the
Schedule to “The Weber County Act, 1902,” from the
northernmost corner of Section No. 1, Block II., Weber
Survey District, to Birch Road; thence towards the east
generally by Birch Road to the north-western corner of
Section No. 1, Block IV., Weber Survey District; thence by
the said Section No. 1 and Section No. 1, Block VIII., to the
Dannevirke-Herbertville Road; thence by a line across
that road and by Section No. 8 to the rabbit-proof fence
reserve; thence by that reserve to Esdaile Road; thence by
Esdaile Road to the south-western boundary-line of Section
No. 11, Block VIII., Weber Survey District; thence by the
said Section No. 11 and Section No. 2, Block IX., to the
southern boundary of Weber County aforesaid; thence
towards the south by the southern boundary of Weber
County aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of Weber
Riding, hereinbefore described; and thence towards the west
generally by the said Weber Riding to the place of com-
mencement.
WIMBLEDON RIDING.
All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, situated
in Weber County, bounded towards the north-east and
east generally by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Weber
County, as described in the Schedule to “The Weber County
Act, 1902,” from the western side of Birch Road to the sea;
thence towards the south-east by the sea to the mouth of the
Waimata Stream; thence towards the south-west by Akitio
County, as described in the Schedule to “The Akitio County
Act, 1898,” to the westernmost corner of Section No. 2,
Block IX., Weber Survey District; and thence towards the
west generally by Ti-tree Point Riding, hereinbefore de-
scribed, to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this twelfth day of January, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and
three.

Districts in connection with the Branch of the Hurunui-
Waitaki Railway from Waipara to McKenzie.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction
of roads in the Teviotdale and Waikari Survey Districts
in connection with the branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki
Railway from Waipara to Mackenzie:
And whereas agreements for the taking of the estate in
fee-simple of the said land have been entered into, and it has
been made to appear that such agreements are sufficient
for the purposes intended to be effected thereby:
And whereas a plan has been prepared in duplicate show-
ing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and
the Minister for Public Works has recommended that this
Proclamation should be issued:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction
of the said roads. And it is hereby declared that this Pro-
clamation shall take effect on and after the date of the
publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Waipara-McKenzie
Branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further
land in Teviotdale and Waikari Survey Districts, in addition
to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said rail-
way:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The
Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Sche-
dule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
