At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of January, 1903.

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 92, of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, His Excellency the Governor in Council did, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883,” license John Smyth, of Auckland, timber-merchant (trading under the style of “John Smyth and Co.”), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore of Kennedy Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a boom, in the position shown on, and in accordance with, plan marked M.D. 2474, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington :

And whereas the said licensee has ceased to occupy the portion of foreshore to which the said license to him applies, and has asked that the said license may be revoked :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of all the powers enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby revoke and determine the said recited Order in Council, and every right, power, and privilege conferred thereby or intended so to be.

Powers delegated under “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” to the Minister in Charge of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventh day of January, 1903.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council dated the eighth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, delegating certain powers under the said Act to Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain Board; and in lieu thereof doth hereby delegate, but only with respect to the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the Minister in Charge of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council shall take effect on the eleventh day of January instant.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, situated in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, being Section No. 16, Block IX., Aroha Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by part Section No. 15, 1100 and 1818 links; towards the south-west by Whitaker Street, 1100 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 15, 1818 links.

Also all that parcel of land situate in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 46 acres, and being part Section No. 15, Block IX., Aroha Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Section No. 15, 2252 links; towards the south-east by other part of Section No. 15 and a public road, 3800 links; towards the north-west and south-west by Section No. 16, 1359 and 1100 links; and towards the north-west by other part of Section No. 15, Block IX., 2264 links.

Vesting Reserves in the Akitio County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of January, 1903.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for the several purposes stated in the said Schedule :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Akitio County Council :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Akitio County,” in trust, as reserves for the purposes specified in the last column of the said Schedule.

Land taken for a Native School at Ramoto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1902.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a certain public work, to wit, a Native school :

And whereas it has been made a condition of the establishment of the said Native school that the site required therefor shall be a free gift from the Native owners to His Majesty the King, and the Native owners have agreed to such condition, and it has been made to appear that such agreement is sufficient for the purposes intended to be effected thereby :

And whereas by an order of the Native Land Court, made under the provisions of “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” and its amendments, bearing date the twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, certain aboriginal natives, as in the said order mentioned, were declared to be the owners of the portion of the Tau-para Block within which the said land is situated :
