be erased from the New Zealand Army List, he having been killed in action at Langverwacht, South Africa, on 24th April, 1902.

Acting-Corporal JOHN WILLIAM MURPHY, Heretaunga Mounted Rifle Volunteers,
from the New Zealand Volunteer Force—dismissal to date from the 3rd April, 1903—he having been convicted in the Stipendiary Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, on the 20th of February, 1903, of killing a sheep by shooting it from a railway-carriage when returning from rifle practice.
