At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of March, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the purpose of a road, in the Ohinemuri Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Ohinemuri County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road, and the said land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Ratepayers of the County of Ohinemuri, as from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land District of Otago.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown land which in his opinion is required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land District of Otago described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood 9 perches, more or less, being Section No. 65, Block X., Leaning Rock Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a road-line, 1003 links; towards the south-east by a closed road, 606·9 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 66 of the said Block X., 1006·8 links; and towards the north-west by Crown lands, 653·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 25533, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For purposes of the Department of Agriculture.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Temporarily reserving Land in the Nelson Land District.
RANFURLY, Governor.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 145 acres 2 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block I., Reefton Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at a point 2629·3 links north and 27879·9 links west of Trig. Station XXVIII., Reefton Survey District (the said point being the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 1), and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction 2657 links; thence in a south-westerly direction, at a right angle, 3536 links; thence in a north-westerly direction, at a right angle, 1156 links; thence again in a south-westerly direction, at a right angle, 3446 links; thence again in a north-westerly direction, at a right angle, 1500 links; and thence in a north-easterly direction, at a right angle, 6983 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50148, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For timber reserve.
