the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcels of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less, being Allotment No. 273 of Section No. 1, Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the north by a street, 1098 links; towards the east by a street, 711 links; towards the south by a street, 957 links; and towards the west by a line, 725 links.
Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Lot No. 393 of Section No. 1, Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the north by Brown Street, 1000 links; towards the east by Cameron Road, 1100 links; towards the south by McLean Street, 1114 links; and towards the west by the sea, 590 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of April, 1903.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS pursuant to the powers conferred on him by “The Counties Act, 1886,” His Excellency the Governor did, by Warrant dated the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three, appoint Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three, to be the day for holding the first election of Councillors of all ridings in the County of Oroua: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time so allowed for the holding of the said election:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and twenty-two of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby extend until Monday, the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three, the time allowed by the aforesaid Warrant for holding the first election of Councillors of all ridings in the County of Oroua.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, 1903.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of public buildings in the Township of Otorohanga:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners, and the title thereto is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared in duplicate, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the public work hereinbefore mentioned; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty King Edward the Seventh, as from the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said gravel-pit, and the said land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Ratepayers of the County of Ohinemuri, as from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three.
